Target FOV Clearance
I know we have talked about Target clearancing all their FOV stuff, but I just had to announce that I bought a US halftrack tonight. It was marked $13.98 but rang up at $4.98! It cost me more than the 1/72 Sherman I paid $5.58 for!
I usually don't get the great deals everyone else finds, so for once I felt the toy gods smiled upon me.

I wish!!!
The local Targets (Nebraska) have not discounted any FoV that I have found - Drat. No new 21C/Target stuff either. I need another halftrack, a 105 and a Lee for parts, but nothing is on sale locally. Count yourselves lucky.

Good find Olifant, and thanks for the heads up! As soon as I read your post I made a mad dash to two of my Targets to check and only one had FOV stuff marked down twice. I picked up an extra Stuart for $5.74.
The 1:72 stuff has also been marked down again, tanks at $1.98 and soldiers for $1.72, picked up a few, prices might vary elsewhere.
No 21stCT yet in my AO, I think I might have to wonder around at the Targets near the 5 Fwy to find anything...

My local Target has essentially no FOV, so clearance isn't helping much.... Pity, I'd love to get a Stug for less than the $22.99 at TRU, or a buy on some of the 1/72 pieces. Maybe next year

I hit another Target today and picked up 1/72 armor at $1.98 and Cossack cavalry for $1.48. Even better: five SW Incinerator troopers for $1.66 each!!!
I've noticed with toys it pays to hit all the endcaps. These were about five aisles down from where they should have been. Note: I had hit this Target before and they did not have what I bought on the shelf. I think they either dug them out of the back or got them in from the warehouse. I think it will pay to keep hitting the local stores until it is obvious there is nothing more in the supply stream.
My goodness, I love finding military toys on clearance.

Holy hell! To think I walked right by those Abrams and Bradleys, oh man, I already got a ride and I'm going today. I was going to wait another week to see if 21st came in but oh no, I'm not letting uber-clearance tanks slip by me! Hell, those 1:72 Stukas and 262s might be game now...
Oh, how I love this forum.

My bad Rows; they weren't incinerator troops but the red guard clones. I think I would have bought five of the tatooed Annakins for the price!Rowsdower wrote:I've never even seen any those.olifant wrote:Even better: five SW Incinerator troopers for $1.66 each!!!

Well, the Bradleys, Abrams and Stugs were not on clearance... Not even the 1:72. In-fact, everything was full-price. BUT, I found the new Fw-190 and Double Nothin'. I got the Fw-190 as the P-51 had bad smudges on the tail. They also had the new Sherman playset and FOV WWII figs.

I was at a Target that had 4-5 FOV 1/32 M5 Stuarts 1-2 months ago and hoped to find one on clearance. In the FOV section, all the clearance stuff was gone, and as I was leaving, out of the corner of my eye, I saw a Stuart in another aisle in the middle of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toys. It was $20 marked down to $4.98.
Another Target had the FOV 1/32 P-51 'Cripes A Mighty" for $19.99---it was in the wrong toy section, too. I passed on it because I just ordered a BBI 1/18 Cripes A Mighty---the FOV version looks like a toy.

I was in Durham NC this past weekend and was able to pick up 20 boxes of the 1:72 Cossacks/Russian troops at $1.48 each. Other than that, they only had a few modern 1:72 marked clearance. Wish I would have run some of the other stuff under the scanner.
I'm back in Pittsburgh now so will have to check the one near me.
