Has anyone found one of these FOV pieces for a good price?
All I have seen are very expensive, and I really want one.
Anyone interested in selling one?
thanks

These are pretty expensive and I haven't seen anyone with a good discounted price on it. I gave up on getting one and got the 21st version instead since it is much cheaper and looks just as good.

I eventually gave in and got the FOV 88 when it first came out and gave away the 21c version. It is xpensive when compared to the 21c version, but very well worth it. The detail is very sharp, it comes with a full gun crew and accessoires, plus the barrel recoils and the hand-cranks actually work to elevate and traverse the gun. Not even the $80+ 1:18th 21c scale gun will have that feature

I agree. It is a work of art, and probably the finest 1/32 piece out there.

Are you sure a Normandy one is coming out?
Just got my FOV Flak 88 today and was wondering if anyone knows what unit it is from.

thanks

Got a pic of the right rear mudflap...?? That's one place where the unit insignia might be.... at least that's where it is on the all gray version from 21st. For what it's worth the unit insignia on my gray 21C 88mm is from the 9th SS Panzer "Hohenstaufen" division, a bold letter "H" with a sword sticking up thru the middle. If you can post a pic of the insignia, I can nail it down for you pretty quick.

I can't get a picture to come up, but on one side the is a yellow shield and to its right there is a yellow olive brach(very small). On the other side, the is a large capital, white letter T.

thanks

Hmmmm.... this is proving to be a tough nut to crack... :? as best that I can tell this is not a Panzer division insignia. I can't say for certain, but some information I have seen leads me to believe it may be the insignia of the 9th Flak Division (motorized) which was destroyed at Stalingrad.

If you scoll down to the bottom of this page you can see the flak gun in a color profile. Unfortunately, you cannot read the caption.

Where did you find this information?
Well.... I know this is kind of sketchy, but searching around the web I see the FOV Flak 88 with the insignia you described listed as "FOV Flak 88 Stalingrad 1942"... the 9th Flak Div. was among 20 or so other German divisions encircled there, and I'm not aware of any other Flak divisions that were encircled at Stalingrad... I know this is kinda slim, but it's the best I can come up with at the moment. I'll see what I can dig up later as my time permits, sorry I can't be of more help than that right now. :?

The FOV 88 is really a piece of art and have the best figures I've ever seen with a 1:32 model . My only complaint is that FOV never made a grey version of the Sd.Kfz. 7 Half Track (a passenger one ) which would look amazing with this model but Unimax seem to have little intrest in units from 42 and earlier , but thankfully they made a early grey PZ IV that really fits well with the 88 so I recommed everyone that buy the 88 to get the tank too
