Small Scale Military Headquarters

How do Tamiya 1/35th German AT Gun 3.7cm and the British 6 pounder AT gun compare in size to 1/32nd 21st century stuff is it too small or not too noticable any input would be deeply appreciated thanks.

1/35 is smaller and the difference is noticeable when compared to 1/32, but when 1/35 is displayed along with other 1/35 pieces, it isn't as bad.

What I mean is if you have multiple 1/35 scale figures, they look fine on a 1/32 vehicle, as long as you don't mix 1/32 figures with them.

Firstly thanks for the reply this is my problem the AT guns like the 1/35th British 6 pounder and the German 3.7 cm would they look good as stand alone pieces in a 21st century/FOV world on a table top with 21st soldiers or without my main deal is I'm more interested in using the guns than the figures at this point. I want to buy some Tamiya kits but don't want to spend the money if they look horrible next to my 1/32nd stuff and if the figures don't look to bad either I don't mind painting them up and displaying them as well any thoughts on this matter will be deeply appreciated thanks

I agree with the above about figures, however some 1/35 scale figures are very very close to 21st centurys 1:32. I have several Dragon figures that when placed on a 21st base are the same height as 21st and fit right in.


As far as the guns go? Not sure? I have used 1:35 mortar. They worked out great. I have a 1:35 81 mm in the back of a 21st M3 now a M4 I guess? Along with it I have a .50cal thats 1:35 and it looks good. I would guess the guns would probably work out well. I have also used a 1:35 conversion kitt for a sdkfz 251/1 to a 251/7 on a 1:32 FOV sdkfz 251. It looks real good as well.

I am a bit puzzeled as to why you would go 3.7 for the german gun? There are probably plenty of the IG 18s out there and pak 40 from 21st.?? Also italeria has a cool looking 1:32 pak and crew???

In my opinion, having combined the two scales, it only looks good in a diorama that can be viewed from only one angle. The smaller Tamiya soldiers and guns can be placed at the rear, giving somewhat of a "forced perspective". But when mixed in with the 21st Century stuff, the differences are very noticeable.

the Draagon 3.7cm kit is better, the crew is better and you have the option of building it as a captured 4.5cm Pak(r)

I just built a Tamiya 1:35 Pak-40. I took pictures of it with my 1:32 Sdkfz. 251. Have a look and you'll have your answer.
