P-51D Mrs. Bonnie

I went to my local WM today in hopes to find a Sharkmouth P-51D. I was otherwise greeted by a multitude of "Mrs. Bonnie". I was a little disappointed, but after inspecting it, I was impressed with the overall scheme and purchased one.
I still want an "Old Crow"... P-51 C&D!!! ...and a P-51D "Passion Wagon"
It's all about the nose art.
The only questions I have regarding the retooled P-51D is that I thought that 21st Century was going to make the wheels thicker and issue teardrop drop-tanks... at least that's what it looked like on their website.
Overall, the new P-51D is excellent. If you find one, buy it.
You wont regret it.

Those have been in my area for at least a month now. It is a scheme that takes some getting used to, but is pretty neat. I think the number of them at some stores in my area will inevitably slow down the arrival of other 32x planes. I really wish 21c would go back to shipping multiple paintschemes in a caseload

Same here. No new FW190 either.

I probably won't see any new 1/32 aircraft at WM until the last 2 P-51B/C Princess are gone

My TRU is still filled with P-47 "Evie".
About six if I recall... and one P-51B Shangri la.
I haven't seen a new plane there, since before Christmas.

The Bonnie scheme is pretty neat. It would be the first P-51 I'd pick up if I ever decide to get into 1/32. *come one walmart, clearance these*

They had two of these at a local WM, which is actually kinda surprising since new 21C stuff is pretty much non-existent at area WM's these days. Anyway, I don't collect AC in any scale anymore, but the scheme on Bonnie is quite impressive so I picked one up, for $16 I figure you can't go wrong.

I really like Mrs. Bonnie. The paint scheme on the rudder is really neat. I liked this Mustang from the get go.

I like the rudder detail real well. It reminds me of 1930s Air Corps liveries. The only thing that really bugs me is the spinner. So, I hung it from the ceiling to look like it is looping

For what ever reason, I'm not too wild about the wing stripes. I love D-Day invasion stripes on the ETO planes, but not so much on "Mrs. Bonnie." Then again, perhaps its the rainbow coloration on the spinner...
Don't get me wrong on what I'm saying, however, as it is still a very nice plane and the scheme has grown on me. (After all, I really like "The Flying Undertaker" version of the 1:18 P-51, and it has similar wing and fuselage stripes...) I hope to get my hands on the British P-51, and especially the "Double Nuthin" checker tailed version, eventually

Now that I have it out of the box I think its a pretty neat scheme!

Yes I love Jaws.
I am also hoping to find the Checker tail!

I wonder if this release is getting mixed reviews from everyone. Usually the e-bay hounds are out in force on new 21C releases, but I have only seen a few of these up for bid. They are laying all over my AO like a wet blanket so either nobody is thinking these will sell or in some odd event all of these came to the Great North West first.

In my AO, they seem to be flying off the shelf pretty quickly. Most WM have a bunch in one day and only 1 or none in the next. I think the point on 1/32 scale planes on ebay is a very good one. It seems ebay has had just as much difficulty in getting the new releases as the rest of us. I do think in general though that the 1/32 planes aren't as plentiful from individual ebayers in comparison to their 1/18 counterparts. It seems as only ebay stores or power sellers bother with the 1/32 planes.
Good point on the 1/32 vs. 1/18 e-bay sales CBC. I don't think anyone wants to pay more than a five-six dollar markup on something they can at least hope to find at WM some day. You would have to move a lot of these things to make a living.
Glad to here Miss Bonnie is moving well in your AO. I think the problem here is each store is on their second or third shipment and everyone who wants one has one now.

Had a few RAF Sharky's down here in my AO so maybe some will wind up headed your way.
21st needs some real-time tracking system that shows us where all the 32X and XD is at.
