These are really superb models. They almost make me want to give up 1:18!
Only two problems: it is nearly impossible to get the 7 screws out holding the 7 to the plastic base ( had to break it), and the 88's tow bar will not fit onto the 7's pintle. The paint is Gelbraun from 1944Militaria.

Very nice! Yeah those scews can be a pain in the ass sometimes. I've got a set of Stanley heavy-duty cutters that will do the trick. If I cant get it out the easy way I cut it out. Had to do that with my Stug III with riders.

Odd thing about the display bases. I've never had trouble getting my AFVs separated from their bases... were the screws stripped, or were they just not turning?
Great paint job, Gary. What with the cost of these two items, I wouldn't dream of painting them unless I was a skilled painter. Did you use an airbrush, or did you do it by hand? I'm thinking airbrush because of how difficult it would be to paint all of the intricate parts of the 88.

Milo,
The screws are just too long and torqed in too tight.
I used simple rattle can paint dusted on.
I have airbrushes, but have never found correct Afrika colors to spray. The 1944Militaria Gelbraun appears to be right on.

Beautiful work, krieglok!
I've built the 8-rad also, and am working on the Airfix 1/32 250. I need to get a IV F.
