Subject: 8 outa 10 Japanese aircraft are very cool and Tony's one of the coolest with grreat skins. Great subject, woulda given a 9 if it was 1/32  I'm conflicted about the 1/48 scale offerings, on the one hand I love the scale (it's what I built as a kid), but will we see many ac in this scale? Is this the scale we'll see Japanese AC, maybe Soviet stuff. I'm in if that's the case.

Model: 8 outa 10 Rubber wing guns and pitot tub, note to 21st use hard plastic on such things I dont mind gluing 'em on. Obviously the mentioned parts are a problem. They wont straighten out. The wing was VERY hard to connect to the fuselage, have some modeling tools handy. Cockpit didn't fit well either. The rest of the model is very well exicuted. OOPS forgot something, 21st needs to go to a smaller logo if they insist to stamp the underside of these ac. The stamp on this plane is the size of the wing meatballs!

Skin: 9 outa 10 There are several glitches on the ventral side. Slight yellow smudge on the starbord wing. Otherwise beautiful skin.

Lovely little plane 8+ outa 10. I'm starten to feel some love for 1/48.

That looks awesome and thanks for the pictures. So I guess the Tony has shown in California? It will probably be a month - if ever - before they arrive in the central part of the state. Just like the quad-50 trailers, Panzer 38s and Marders. Good going TRU

Still, great looking plane and I'm glad the particular scheme pictured is the first to come out 8)

Found this one at TRU. They had 5. Actually, exept for TRU stepping up recently, SoCAL bites for these. My local TRU still has over twenty Jadgtigers on the shelves. It worries me they'll see the JTs sitting there FOREVER and decide 21st's stuff doesn't move. I hope they notice the other stuff flying off the shelves  I haven't seen a Marder yet, although the 38ts did make a breif showing. I forgot something in the review, the Tony came with two fuel tanks, which I chose not to mount. It also has the option of display with an open canopy, basically it comes with two complete canopies. You can also display it gear up, there is an extra set of gear doors that snap in place. I SG'd the gear and canopy on so I can't show gears up, canopy open. I will post pics of the fuel tanks in place. Probably tonight.

Finally found this Tony at TRU while on a short road trip to Warren OH. Has the all green Tony been spotted.

Nice review. Now let's see one in 1:32 and not craptastic 1:48.

I picked up one of these tonight and other than the fact the wings have no dihedral, it is a great piece and probably one of 21st's better 1/48 scale planes to date. The canopies were slightly murky, but easily fixed with a dip in future and the wing dihedral also easily fixed by some model glue, a couple of clamps, and some rubberbands.

I am looking forward to finding this release. I have gone all in on 1/48th and picked up both the P-40s tonight. This is my hedge for when they release the four engine bombers in this scale.

Can't you hear the siren's call?

Olifant, don't do it, don't go over to the darkside of 1/48. Just kidding, do what you want, I can't commit to any other scales.

I suspect that 21st cad's these for any of the scales they produce so if they sell well in a particular scale we may see them in another hopefully, larger scale.

It's too late for me Doc. 1/18, 1/35, 1/32, 1/48, 1/144 all have their hooks in me. It didn't seem too long ago that I spent my time and money on my house. Now I am just a toy-junkie.
