I picked up an FOV M5A1 Stuart tank today at Target, and man I am impressed with this model. It is a nice addition to my ever growing 32nd scale collection.

The Stuart tank has the nicest antenna I have seen on a 32nd scale tank. I wish they all came with an antenna like this.

I agree, it's a really nice model, and the action grade version of this model represents an outstanding value for what you get IMO. I have a couple of these salted away, and someday I'll weather one up.

I have an enthusiast grade and I'm very happy with it. The weathering is subtle enough for me... no black panel lines like on the M3 Lee. Sitting it next to a Tiger and Panther like I have it... it just boggles the mind how a tank could be so tiny.

Can't wait for them to make a Honey!

Get one of the 21st century 38t's, your M5 will look like a tiger Amen on the Honey

I love the Stuart too, really great detail. Gotta love those weld lines! I have an action grade, the only grievance is the track are metal grey.

Hey manufacturers, if you too cheap to pant up the tracks do solid red/brown. Simple easy and looks a thousand percent better than metal or black


Stuart and 38t together

I don't think there is enough difference between the action grade Stuart and Lee I buy at Target for $20 and the $40 on-line enthusiast grade. Some tanks the difference in night and day, but not on the newest allied armor.

This is true. I have the action grade Lee and it doesn't have the black panel lines. I've seen the enthusiast version in person and the only real difference was some weathering, which was mostly on the tracks. Same with my Stuart. With the newer models, the gap between action and enthusiast gets smaller. I can do without the piece of broken wall I already have 50 of!

A prime example of this is the Camo Stug III being sold at Target and TRU right now. For $24 you get 4 figures and a clean Stug without any sort of weathering or that black wash garbage, just waiting to be customized.

It all comes down to what pleases your eye and your wallet!

I have the Action grade Stuart and love it. At first, it was hard for me to justify getting it as I was (and still am) quite pleased with my S1 32x M-5. The FOV Stuart, however, is an excellent little tank and in most ways better than the 21c version. The way all the hand-holds, periscopes, etc. were rendered on the FOV tank is very cool.

I have an action and Enthusiast version and think its one of the best little tanks they did. Of course I would have to say its better then the 21st one.

The M5A1 is one of FoVs better tanks. There are a few nitpicks - 1) the 37mm gun tube is too short. It seems to be in recoil. 2) FoV made the same mistake as 21C's M5A1 and even the 1/35th Tamiya model - the end connectors are molded coming off the ends of the track blocks rather than in between them. As molded the tracks would simply fall to pieces. It spoils the look of the tracks, which are otherwise nicely molded. I have the 21C M5A1 and recently replaced it with an FoV. The FoV will eventually go to the workbench for a gun extension.
