That Elefant is a pricey little devil isn't it. Question is, what will its price be at TRU or Target. I can't see it being more than $30 at those stores. More than that and you start getting up into the 1/18 price range.

I doubt we would see the Elefant in action series

It will still have to be sold at TRU or Target in some form. Otherwise it would be an on-line item only and thats not going to happen. Remember the enthusiast items that showed up at Target in action boxes.

I have yet to see an Action-series T-34, Hanomag, Panzer IV, etc...
I've gotten 3 versions of the Pz IV and 2 versions of the 251 halftrack at Target, but I haven't seen any 88's, 105's, T-34s, or Pershings.

I've seen the Halftracks at Target and TRU, but not the Panzer IV. Are you sure that was it?

Wow, I never saw a German Halftrack at TRU or Target and never any Panzer IV's. Just Stugs and once or twice a Tiger or King Tiger at Target and Stugs and Schwimmwagens at TRU.

I saw a winter PzIVJ once at Target but it was really banged up; four or five of the roadwheels were off and banging around the box. I just couldn't see buying it in the shape it was in.

Last FOV German halftrack I bought was at a TRU last summer. I'm sure distribution has a lot to do with it as always. Some stores get items that other stores never see.

I can guarantee with certainty we will see the Stryker at Target in action grade in the future. I can guarantee with the same certainty we will never see the Elefant at Target in action grade in the future. 8)

I second that. I can definitely see the Stryker on the Shelf at Target. That'll be when I pick one up cause I'm not that into modern armor to spring for an enthusiast.

I love the FOV armor but the prices are getting awfully steep. It is not a matter of what I can afford but I just can't see spending $55-60 with shipping to get a 1/32 tank. That is 1/18 airplane kind of money.

My FOV fervor has dropped to where I only buy one of each, and then preferably at Target or on sale on-line. Sadly I have passed on many of the '07 releases just because I haven't gotten them on the cheap. Anyone else feel the same way?

It is getting crazy. I try to get what I can through my hobby shop since I don't pay any shipping and he doesn't mark the stuff up too much. I got another Tiger with riders for $40. The only bad part is that his suppliers kinda suck and half the time the stuff is on backorder until 2015. I also just found an excellent Ebay dealer who is only 70 miles from me so the shipping on the Panther and T-34 I just got was only like $7 plus it got here the day after he shipped it.

I love die cast, but part of me wishes they would just switch to plastic with some metal parts and glue some cheap metal inside the hull to add weight.

I remember the SDKFZ 251/1s at TRU last year. I already had one though. I was looking for the Stummel. My local TRU has JTs up the wazzoo at the moment, so I guess the anti-German period is over officially. With so many stores now carrying FOV we may see a restructuring of the whole "Action"/"Enthusiast" concepts. Y'all are right about the Stryker, it will deffinately show at TRU/Target.

You all are right about the rising prices of the FOV products driving down their collectability. I'm not a serious collector that must have multiple versions of each tank type, with usually only one of each type suiting me. I rarely order an FOV product from a small retailer anymore. Occasionally I get lucky and find an enthusiast vehicle in action grade packaging at TRU or Target - it happens alot more frequently than it used to. However, if its sort of a "spur of the moment" type purchase, ebay tends to be the best bet. I've gotten several Enthusiast FOV vehicles from sellers there for far below their normal retail cost. Sometimes I had to wonder if the seller was misinformed and didn't know how much their product could really be sold for

If prices increase too much for their 1:32 line, I will only be able to afford buying two or three a year - which is fine by me, as I have very little room for more. Plus, y'know, the future wife doesn't want any more at all ;)

It'll probably be summer by the time I can order the Styrker & Elefant from a retailer here in Canada. Maybe fall. I'm a patient man.

I really think everything should be offerend in Action grade... I can see spending 20 bucks on a tank, or half-track in 1:32, even 25 if it's nice and has LOTS of stuff. But over 30 really is pushing it. I love the metal part, that's great. But if that's the reason why I can't afford it? I shouldn't have to go broke over weight and feel. Overall, I really will come in here, put some music on, and look at my eye candy. LOOK. How often do I pick up my tanks and care how much they weigh?

It's a cool feature, but I like 21c's idea, have mostly metal, keep it light. It worked, and a lot of us miss paying 15 bucks and getting a metal chassis, and some figures perhaps. If my 38t, and Marder came with some metal, or even just figures, I would quickly pay 20 for it.
