32X Cold Steel Jagdpanther
Wasn't somebody around here looking for one of these..?? It looks like these guys may have it in stock, and the price is not too bad considering that they are long out of production and basically unavailable outside of the occasional example that pops up on ebay.

I know that and it stinks! The lack of figures with the 21c vehicles is also not cool. The fact that the latest 32x armor offerings at TRU retail for as much as an action grade FOV vehicle also make them less of a deal. The FOV action grade tanks generally may not be weathered, however, they come with more figues and accessories, not to mention their diecast construction. The 21c playsets, though, are a step in the right direction!schizuki wrote:tman, I think 21st has dumped the Cold Steel line for pure plastic. Looks like they're leaving die-cast to FoV. I don't think we'll see any metal from them again.

Thanks for the warning zuki. I actually have purchased from these guys before....a long time ago when I was in to kitbuilding, never had a lick of trouble with them back then, sorry to hear about your bad experience though.Caveat emptor

Those are two points that irk me. How much does it really cost to produce a plastic figure? I don't mind paying a couple extra bucks for 21st armor at TRU because I will most likely never see any of the stuff at WM, but if the tank is going to cost almost as much as action series FOV vehicle then they should at least include a commander figure!tmanthegreat wrote:The lack of figures with the 21c vehicles is also not cool. I agree that we won't ever see cold steel again, but 21C has released many models in both cold steel and plastic so their molds can handle both. I agree, it is time for a re-release of the Jagdpanther, M-113 and the Walker Bulldog.schizuki wrote:tman, I think 21st has dumped the Cold Steel line for pure plastic. Actually, regarding the loss of metal from 21stc tanks. This was relayed to me by a vendor, that the Chinese Govt recently noticed the amount of zinc the USA uses in manufacturing and tweaked the price up.
and guess what we use zinc to make? Diecast.
so you may have noticed FoV tanks went of $5-$10 each due to their reliance on zinc. 21st C was smart and cut the metal out and kept prices the same.
If FoV took all the diecast out of it's tanks we would get a mostly empty box with some figures, rubber tracks, jerrycans and the same damn piece of broken wall over and over.

A place 20 minutes from me has one for $20.
After reading this thread I'm really considering buying it...
He's also got some other cold steel, maybe I should pick it up for myself.
But I'm not the kind of person who keeps things in the box. But this one, I'll keep the insides of the box. I keep all my boxes. I think I might get rid of all of them, cut off the info from the box, and use the closet to store my dad's books that have never been read, that are taking up shelf space... That could be used for planes.
I managed to free up 2 shelves. Those hold my armor, and my 262s. Which is great, now I can start moving my planes out of my room and into my plane room.
I envision a full scale military theme. Once my dad gets all his stuff moved, I'll have full control.
