Hello Folks,
Dragon intends to come out with a limited edition 1:72 scale diecast rendition of panzer ace Johann Huber's Jagdpanzer IV L/70 tank destroyer. While we don't have a picture of it as yet, the mere fact that they are doing a tank destroyer based on a panzer IV chassis leads me to believe they'll be coming out with an entire family of German Pz IV vehicles in 2005. Additionally, I'd wager they'll be doing a bunch of Pz III vehicles too since they're planning a Sturmgeschutz III as well as several Sturmgeschutz IVs.
I think its also a safe bet they'll be coming out with several Jagdpanzer IV L/70 tank destroyers in their standard Dragon Armor line, just in case customers would rather stick to the less expensive line. In any event, Since Johann Huber will be attending the Dragon Expo Show, we're going to see if he'll oblige us and autograph each vehicle or at least the outer package. Its possible that Dragon has already thought of this and may include signed certificates of authenticity with each vehicle. Too bad they couldn't get Otto Carius or Richard von Rosen too, both of whom do regular interviews for some of the military-themed documentaries shown on the Military and History Channel.
Regards,
