Hmmm... I can understand that mom. OK, we all treat the WW II aircrafts and tanks models as... the WW II aircrafts and tanks models, not as the nazi (or communist) propaganda. When I was a child I received the model kits of all countries war planes; I needed Nazi planes (they were forbidden in the Soviet block), yes, with swastikas on their tails, as the "enemies". I liked their form and their paintings (and like them today). But during my plays I identified myself only with the Polish or other western-allied pilots and soldiers, never with Germans or Soviets. I think the "mom's" sensibility threshold is only a little different from mine one. I think she had right to not buy the model for her child (on the other hand, how old was the kid?). And we all have right to buy such models our children. I believe, we should be obligated to explain them the history of WW II.

I don't think we need to turn this into a "Nazi War Toy" debate..
I am excited about the new Spitfire, and I wish 21st would retool their Bf-109E and make companion schemes for the new Spit..

Ok, now back to our regularly scheduled Spitfire adoration. Maybe now we can get that pink Spitfire! But seriously, a tropical variant Spit with the sand filter would be sweet.
BTW, here is a quick and handy guide to all the Spitfire variants.

At first I wasn't to excited that our newest AC was going to be a Spitfire, but after seeing the pictures from the toy fair I have decided this was a good move by 21C. My only concern is finding all of these new releases. The more I get, the more I want.
Perhaps we all need to go in shares in a 1/32 co-op and distribute these things to ourselves factory direct...

It would be great. We in Poland (=my sons and I) need a direct source of 1/32 pre-built models: the buying of them in the US Internet shops is workable only when you order tons of items (shipping!) and the buying in Europe is never workable. In US we cannot to buy cheap neither in WMs nor in Targets. This is not fair and I wonder if TKO could find any solution. If yes, I will be very, very thankful.olifant wrote:Perhaps we all need to go in shares in a 1/32 co-op and distribute these things to ourselves factory direct...
