No Hartmann 109 here yet. Probably because there still several of the "Redtail" p-51

Never, ever seen these in my area, and I've stopped by Wal Marts on various road trips throughout central California (probably covering an area larger than many states on the east coast) and still not seen them.

If this is the pattern with AllGo - back to the old Wal Mart distribution crap - they'll get none of my business and they will do the collecting world a disservice. These items should go both to the small retailers and Wal Mart, giving everyone a fair shot, since Wal Mart won't.

But, I have the 21c versions of the 1:48 Bf-109 and P-51B, and I have better 1:48 diecast aircraft, so I know I'm not missing out on anything

What doesn't make much sense is the ships from China dock and unload in Calif. You think that would be the first place to have them.

Had given up on All-Go so was surprised to notice them at 2 Wally's in my area. I did notice that all 8 on the shelf at 1 store all appeared to be very nice without the usual 21st flaws. Could not notice any flaws in any of them as far as paint, smudges or crooked props, or rattling pieces. Did not inspect the 6 at store 2 as already had got 1, but quick count and glance noticed no major flaws, but did not give much inspection. Very nice plane for $9.99 IMO.

On a side-track thought, I had scooped up 2 dozen red tails when they came out wanting to keep a few for customs and give the rest as gifts thinking that with the Movie release and history of the airmen, that kids I coach might find it of interest. With the exception of a couple kids, most all did not give a damn or have ANY interest what-so-ever..... :? Guess I am just getting old.

My Hartmann BF-109G-10 arrived today and it appears to be a fairly nice replica. As usual, there are issues. The canopy needs to be pushed down firmly to get a reasonably close fit and the spinner is a tad loose. Also, they didn't include the ring antenna that is located just aft of the canopy. Although they provided mounting holes/spaces for the pitot head and the underwing antenna, the parts were not included. As for the scheme, there seems to be a good deal of speculation about what this and other Hartmann mounts actually looked like. Some contend that it had yellow under the engine and that the lower wings were all-RLM-76 ( light blue/gray ); instead, the model omits the yellow chin and has most of the wing's undersurface in natural metal. Either could be correct. I'm going to modify this model somewhat but before I go to work I thought I'd share pictures of it in its original form. Here's a shot showing the topside parts and the add-ons:Image

The Hartmann 109 finally showed up here about a week ago. I only found it in the Walmarts that did not have the Redtail P-51. The WM that had the p-51 appear to have stocked more P-51s
