My BBI F-4 must have been produced on a Friday. Missing pilot's instrument panel, huge paint smudge on the left intake vane, and broken right wing tip. She looks good now, but I had to put in some work to fix her. The instrument panel can't really be seen anyways.

So I was on ebay just a while ago and got a P-51B/C Shangri La for $26, which isn't too bad, considering what they go for lately (see Pricey 21st Aircraft thread) It had a paint smudge on the left side of the fuselage. The seller was cool enough to show close ups of it.
I already have a really nice one in a mint box, but I wanted to have this one flying in my room. I figured I could airbrush a little OD green there and presto, no problem.
Then I bid on a Corsair-Zero Dogfight pack, fortunately I won it, unfortunately it cost me $57! OUCH!
Well that's what I get for not buying one at Walmart when I saw it.
I only really wanted the Zero, because it was unique, and not available in the single packs... So now I got 3 Big Hog Corsairs.
but I'll display one chasing one of my extra Zero's.
Now If I could just nail a British Corsair, and a few FW-190D's, a couple of P-47's, I'd have everything 21st offered in 32X aircraft.
I don't even want to think about all the 1:18 aircraft variations I'm missing.
If only that guy from Ireland would pay me my overdue $91 he owes me for some Star Wars stuff, I'd feel a little better.

I think you are really going to like it. Check out a short review I did of the Merit Eagleston P-51D at the end of this thread.... viewtopic.php?t=19240 I also oredered the "Shangri-La" but it won't arrive for a few days yet. I expect it will be at least as nice as the Eagleston. Let us know what you think after you've had a chance to look it over.NWarty wrote: not five minutes ago, I just ordered a 1/24 Merit P-51D "Shangri La" from Ebay (PriceBully).

Just got a 1:32 Corgi Hurricane "VYR" for $44 on ebay. Just happened upon it when browsing ebay.
I do believe that's a good price no?
Don't think we'll see a Hurricane in 1:32 plastic prebuilt anytime soon, so what the heck huh.
My first 1:32 Corgi. If I like it I'll try to get more. I missed the 1:32 Mosquito, and that's impossible to find I hear.

That is a great price Dauntless.
I am sure that you will like it.
I have that one, Douglas Bader, and just picked up the "Night Reaper".A UK only release, and only 1000 made.
"Night Reaper"is really nice.

The Mosquito is a great model.
Big,and heavy in 1/32.
I only have one"Moncton Express".

Wished I had picked up some others when they were first released.
They are pretty rare, and expensive these days.
But a great addition.

One more 'BIG THANK YOU' to Dauntless for the heads up. The birds arrived yesterday, and I am very happy with the purchase! First time I bought from small joes, and all I can say is a great experience! Thank you Corey S. at small joes!

Agreed. Mine arrived from smalljoes yesterday, it's still in the box and may remain that way at least for a while, but it's obviously an outstanding model from what I can see. I feel fortunate that I was able to get one while they are still affordable, the few you see on ebay nowadays are asking $100 or more.snake wrote:That BBI 1/32 F-4 Jolly Rogers does look sweet.

Just got my Corgi Lewis VYR Hurricane yesterday.
I'm really liking it a lot. I'm glad it's a Battle of Britain one. A Bader Hurricane would have been my preference, but for the price I'm not complaining.
Now I would like another, but something different like the "Night Reaper" or the Sea Hurricane.
Some of the other 1/32 planes can be had for a good price though. The winter ME-109 is pretty cheap. Might have to get at least that one.

Yup, good grief it's got some weight to it.
Now if I could just score a Mosquito.
The D-Day Mossie is still available, but I find the scheme the least desirable of all the ones made... as if I could afford it now anyways.
That winter 109's paint is so different from any 1/32 offered so far, I think it's worth having for the price, and if it's got really good detailing the more reason to get one.

You really can't go wrong with any of Corgi's 1/32 aircraft line. If you want another Hurricane I recommend the Night reaper. It will be more collectible than the Sea Hurricane, which is also very nice but pretty common.

1/32 Scale Hurricane
Thanks to Snake & Dauntless for the "Heads-Up" on the Corgi 1/32 Hurricanes...I've always been a Hurricane fan, & would love to see one (affordable that is) in 1/18th scale...
I've stayed away from the Corgi 1/32 because of price, but after paying a fortune for JSI's F14 & a couple of ebay F18's, I think I've lost my perspective!
Anyway, picked up two Hurricanes today off ebay - Douglas Bader's & Lewis' VYR...Unbelievable great deal on VYR & better than retail on Bader's.
Can't wait to get them - I've already picked out their display spot!
Thanks again, guys, for the "push"
