Found the S1 & S2 32x Macchi 202 Folgores and the S1 A6M2 Zero - the ones that were first released on the east coast - at the Wal Mart near my house today :)

I picked up the "Reinar" Macchi with the green cammo, as I've wanted this one for a while. I'm proving to be a real sucker for the 32x Macchis, now having two Macchi 202s a Macchi 205 and another 205 being sent out by a fellow boardmember.

Yeah, I know what ya mean, I've had to buy the #73,#74, and #2 macchi 202, as well as the luftwaffe and grey 205 that have appeared in one of the more productive walmarts in the area- Does that just leave one or two left in the series?

There's the #151 sq. Macchi 202 and the Macchi 205 with green & brown stripes.

current group of 32nd offerings

Post by mikeg » Thu May 11, 2006 7:14 pm

The one prolific walmart, out of several, in my area has done it again. Tonight I saw the Maachi 205 green/brown stripe, a6m3 Nishizawa, and a6m3 zuikaku. I think this is pretty good over a couple of month time span to see all the paint schemes in the two series. I will get them tomorrow, that being payday and whipping out the credit card being hard to justify to the wife so much recently. This brings to a total of 12 Maachis and Zeros- I think thats all between the two models.

Can't wait for the new planes to show up- whatever they may be- I suddenly see space being a problem with 1/32nd, too.

Oh, by the way; where does Bad Cat come up with their retail prices of 25.00 shown at their sight for 1/32nd planes?

Maachi availability????

Post by mikeg » Tue May 16, 2006 6:07 pm

How about this post, then..
Only a couple of the six walmarts in the area have 2-maybe 3 of the 1/32nd Maachis. One of them has ALL SIX OF THEM- AT THE SAME TIME!!

their "list price" is just a made up number they use to make their prices look good. I love when they have a high list price on a BCA exclusive, and then the BCA price. :P

Yesterday at Wally's on Morse Rd. I saw 2 of each of the 32X Brumbars, StuG IVs, "kits" of StuG IV, M113, German Veltro, Italian Republic Veltro, tan w/green camo Folgore. XD Hummers, tan and green M113s, 2-3 German F-104s, nightfigher 109, and a newer 109G - forget the solor scheme.

BCA aparently just got in some new 1:72 IXO models and there's some pretty cool pieces that I've never seen done in 1:72: ME-110, He-219, Beaufighter, and more!

I have the He-219, F4F Wildcat. The He-219 is nice, although they didn't include parts for landing gear up. I am a little disappointed in the F4F. The landing gear is missing details. The Trumpeter version is much nicer IMHO.

I found the new King Tiger at the KB-Toy store in dallas yesterday. Not a bad paint job. It was $15.99.

When should we expect to see new 1/32nd Stukas and Corsairs? Next week or sometimes in December? Anyone hear any gossip; reputable or otherwise-

If anyone is wondering why they don't see any of the German 7.5cm IG.18 canon with crew sets, it is because the Johnsons Ferry location has about 35 of them in two different aisle locations- none to be seen at the other Walmarts on the north side. They've been there quite a while.
