Received a few packages today and yesterday (10 to be precise). Thought I'd share with y'all.

Here's my RAF/RCAF gaggle now:

Image

IXO Junior Bristol Beaufighter Mark X (PIXJ000031) as flown by RCAF 404 Sqn. in June 1944. All in all, I can't complain about this bird - it's hefty, it looks good and the undercarriage is much sturdier compared to that of the Do 335 and Defiant:

Image

My first Gemini Aces Spitfire IX (GARAF1006) as flown by George "Buzz" Beurling December 1943 when he was flying in RCAF No. 412 Squadron on RAF Biggin Hill:

Image

My first Witty Wings Spitfire IX (WTW72002-007) painted in the markings of one that served in RCAF No. 416 Squadron at RAF Sten Lundberg in 1944:

Image

My first Corgi Hurricane (AA32008) as flown by William McKnight in RCAF No. 252 Squadron during the Battle of Britain. A beautiful bird, no doubt about it!

Hobby Master SBD-2 Dauntless (HAHA011) as flown by VB-2 on U.S.S. Lexington before the war:

Image

My first Dragon P-47D Thunderbolt - "Big Ass Bird II" (DRW50203) as flown by Howard Park in 513th FS in 1944-45. Looks good, weighs a tonne but the funniest thing happened - during shipping the engine fell off. Hot glue works wonders, but man, I wish my bout of bad luck would end! Lost the radio antennae too... and I don't even have a carpet monster as an excuse.

Image

11 Bf 109s and counting.

Image

The three newest Bf 109s - two Bf 109G-2 trops (DRW50068A & DRW50087) and the Cyber Hobby Bf 109G-6 (DRW50249) as flown by Erich Hartmann in October 1943:

Image

"Butcher Birds" - three Corgi Fw 190s (AA34303, AA34304 & US34308) and three Dragons (DRW50079, DRW50083 & DRW50256). More coming:

Image

Close-up of the "Papagei" staffel Fw 190D-9. The paint scheme is stunning and while I know there is talk about inaccuracies in this model, I like it:

My collection of big Luftwaffe birds & Me 262s. Note the Corgi Heinkel He 111H-6 (AA33708) that I managed to cram in there... a good-looking bird:

Image

New Me 262B-1a night fighter (DRW50267) to replace the pro-built model I sold a few weeks ago:

Image

My dark RAF/RCAF birds. Note the new Corgi Wellington Mark III (AA34803) and Corgi Spitfire Mark Vb (AA31908). Still waiting for the Corgi Hurricane night fighter (AA32002):

Image

Close up of the aforementioned Spitfire Vb:

It's Hobby Master's HA1703 Airacobra Mark I "County of London" that briefly served with the RAF. It's a good model! The panel lines aren't as heavily inked as they are on other Hobby Master releases. I highly recommend it. I also have HA1701, the Soviet P-39N Airacobra that ace Col. Aleksandr J. Pokryshkin flew:

Thanks for posting Chariman! I recently picked up some Corgi and Dragon 1/72 and I must say they are really sweet pieces. Sometimes I think it may not be a bad idea to shift focus to these scales, but 1/32 from 21C is half the price for twice the bang. :D Looking at your posts makes me pine for more though...

Big box of planes from the Mule and another box from a MH 2 member (thanks Black 6!) came today.

Witty Wings Sea Fury (WTW72015-008) in Royal Canadian Navy colours circa 1949. Now that I have one, I will definitely be purchasing the other RCN Sea Fury:

Image

My latest Dragon Wings Messerschmitt, a Bf 109G-6 (DRW50255) as flown by Josef Jansen:

Image

The latest Dragon Wings P-51D to fly in - "Lil Margaret" (DRW50002):

Image

Two exceptionally dashing new Gemini Aces P-51Bs - "The Hun Hunter from Texas" (GAUSA2006N) as flown by Henry Brown & "Berlin Express (GAUSA2004) as flown by Wlliam Overstreet. I couldn't be happier with them... and I can't wait to get my other Geminis:

"The Hun Hunter from Texas":

"Berlin Express":

My three new Russian birds by Easy Model: two Yak-3s (EM37227 and EM37228) and a P-40E Warhawk (EM37275) displayed with the MiG-3, P-39 Airacobra & Hurricane II I already had:

LOL

:D Two things I hope your fiancee appreciates: "random" and "a few planes"! If she does (even after a few years of marriage) you are a lucky man. 8)

New parcels today. Received five altogether.

B-25J "Heavenly Body" (AA35301) surrounded by a gaggle of Dragon Warbirds P-51Ds. I got sick of their landing gear collapsing every bloody time I rearranged them, so they're all on their stands now. Looks all right to me:

Image

Hurricane I night fighter (AA32002). It cost a bit more than I would usually pay and came all the way from the United Kingdom, but it was worth it:

Image

My RCAF/RAF "night mission" birds together. All that's missing is a MZ exclusive Mossie night fighter:

Image

Douglas Bader's Hurricane I (AA32004) and a desert fighting Hurricane IID (AA32009). I don't mind that the desert Hurri doesn't have a tropical filter.

Corgi Fw 190A-4 (AA34306), purchased at discount from Perry's Aircraft after I received the RCAF Lancaster with dropped Merlin :) Kudos to Perry's for their adept handling of my particular problem:

Image

Corgi Bf 109E-3 (AA32103) as flown by Waldemar Wubke:

Dragon Wings Fw 190D-9 (DRW50080):

Image

The hideous but cute Corgi Bf 109E-7 trop (AA32105) with painted-on tropical filter:

Image

14 Bf 109s in a few square feet:

Image

8 Fw 190 "butcher birds" in the space remaining:

Gotta keep these two beauties hidden away until I can a) find space and b) figure out a way to justify a new scale to the boss!

Here's a shot of all four of the new 38(t) family released by 21st Century Toys (as well as my Forces of Valor StuG III Ausf G):

Image

They display well together and I can't wait to hear whether or not they'll release other variants in the 38(t) family. Check out the detail in the fighting compartments!

CM, I have gone through some spurts where I blew some dough in this hobby, but you have gone on the bender of all benders! :D

More power to you but I am worried I am going to see you on the next episode of "Intervention." Or "Divorce Court!" If things get too hot at home let us on the forum know. I have been setting up a XD Underground Railroad just for these kind of moments.

No worries, Steve! The worst that I ever get is a glare or perhaps a vicious pinching. The pinching leaves nasty little bruises on my inner arms, but I can live with that. I have at least gotten her to promise that if she thinks I've gone too far that she won't burn it all into a lump of plastic and zinc.

She did say that if it went too far that she'd kill me and sell off the collection though

My first Corgi P-47D Thunderbolt (HC33811) - a "razorback", the "Rozzie Geth/Boche Buster" with fixed undercarriage. It looks a heck of a lot nicer than I had been led to believe, and the nose art is first class :)

Saw a couple Corgi planes when I was looking through a catalogue the Natl. Motor Museum Mint sent me. They got the Taranto Swordfish and a USAAF Spitfire V that I'm thinking of getting for my birthday.

Recently delivered Corgi B-24J Liberator "Booby Trap" (AA34006). Many thanks to Merritec & Scott Merritt! I have waited so long to find a great Canadian retailer for diecast... and it turns out that he's just a short trip away!

Image

Image

At long last... I have received my Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Lancaster III "Phantom of the Ruhr" (AA32614). It was in absolutely mint condition, and even though they got the other part of my order wrong (they sent the BBMF Hurricane instead of the Malta Hurricane) I'm quite happy with the transaction overall:

Image

Image

I don't have the room to display either of them at the moment, but once I have that glass display cabinet from Ikea and I've figured out where to put it (probably next to my desk where my file cabinet is) they'll be out of their gigantic boxes.

My first Gemini Aces Bf 109, an F-4 (GALFT3001). The stands make it easier for me to cram more Bf 109s on that shelf comfortably. I'm very pleased with what Gemini Aces has done with this little bird:

Image

My second Gemini Aces Bf 109F-4 (GALFT3004) as flown by Lt. Huy in Rumania, 1941. The "kill" markings representing ships are quite the novelty:

Image

My latest Fw 190 by Corgi, an A-5 (WB99619) - the one that all Corgi fans ask one question about: "Why the hell was this made as a Warbird release?!" I don't mind, because all of my Corgi Fw 190s are displayed on their stands anyways:

Image

Last but not least, my brand new Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Hurricane IIc (AA32015). I'm not going to send it back to Modelzone, but I'm definitely going to order AA32014 if I still can (maybe with the Mossie NF?):

Got to love those Corgi 1:72 bombers  I have a B-17, Landcaster, HE-111 and B-25. Excellent quality on all. From your pics and the examples I've seen in person, I really need to get the B-24 as well. Only problem is that I have nowhere to put them at the moment...

Nine Mustangs so far - 3 Geminis and 6 Dragons. I've got one more Gemini on the way, and the rest of that shelf will be taken up by P-47s (whenever they arrive):

Image

My Flying Tigers exclusive P-51C Mustang "Princess Elizabeth" (GAUSA2AAA). By far the greatest looking Mustang in my collection so far:

Image

The last Dragon Wings P-51D has finally arrived (DRW50051S) and I couldn't be happier. Thanks to Parsig9!
