ADMIN EDIT - Since 21st's site is registration based, I'm asking that no photos be directly posted from the site. Please go to the site and log-in to Area21 in order to see the photos. Posting photos like this on message boards unfortuantly makes the whole registering redundant. Thanks!

Well why not? Most of 21c's rivals have lines or are getting into that scale also.

hmm......don't think so.
I believe those are just sub-scale mock-ups of future packaging for xd planes..

I agree. They are probably small mockups to save money on making a large one. Probably first drafts. Notice the TBM doesn't have any TBM photos on it.

Hello,
We just saw their line in NYC and there was no mention of them getting involved in 1:72 scale product.

Bummer..
Well, I was just judging from the small size of the box compared to the 1/18 box next to it..

It does look like a small box.
I would bet they get into it someday, though.
Question...why aren't the Corgi History Channel series releases available at the Big Box retailers?

I bet they'll leave the sub 32nd scale stuff to folks like Dragon, Matchbox, Corgi and now FOV/Unimax. No real need to waste effort in attempt to take away from exsisting companies, unless you plan on covering subjects not alreay covered.
My $0.02 and worth every damn penny!

Well Aferg, you know what they say about a man that likes "big" toys..lol
And...................................................................................
Hey, I will have you know that even though I mainly collect the smaller scales, I am increasing the range to include 1/48, 1/18..

heheheheheh.... this is funny
I'll confirm that those boxes are indeed only miniature mock-ups of possible future box designs.
One thing I did like about the box designs and I passed on to 21st were that the different colored boxes really added to the look of the planes. Instead of having just a stack of blue boxes, each plane would have it's own artwork. I think it would help sell planes if somebody looks at a shelf and instantly notes from the box color and design that there are more than just one type of plane available. I get lost looking at the blue boxes at times. They look too much alike and thus "cheapens" the look of the plane IMHO.......
