They have some pretty cool items coming up! That 1:32 Spitfire looks great, and I hope it costs less than the Corgi version. They have some new armor, some of which (the Panther & Wirblewind) are in direct competition with 21st Century's 32x Cold steel vehicles. I like the looks of the Challenger and the M-3 Grant. When they eventually show up, I'll have to get that Challenger for an Iraq 2003 dio and the M3 for a North Africa dio that I want to prepare! Hopefully these new vehicles will have all the detail that the T-34 and Pershing have.

some juicy stuff for you guys. The challenger, Grant and wirblewind look really nice. Some good looking airplanes there too...

That's a formidable armor arsenal that FOV has put out! I only wish that could be said for the 1/18 scale lineup. I envy the collectors of 1/32. You guys got a lot of armor choices to select from.

Wow, those look impressive. The new winter camoflauge t34 and panzer IV are very nicely done IMO. The Panther and Wirble wind look great too, better than the 21st ones I think, partially b/c of weathering and such but especially because of the shurtzen on the Panther. That was the one gripe I think a few of us had with the 21st which was superb otherwise.

Its too bad there arent any more German or (wishful thinking) Russian soldiers. Guess 21st needs to fill the gap. Also, with all the new armor, it would have been nice to see another Russian piece, t34/76 JS-2, KV-1, or any of the SU varities. Oh well, theres always late 2005 or 2006

besides, ill have my hands full buying the XD ME-110 thats coming out

Take a look behind the Grant at what the sign says. LOL

Nothin like a little humor to mix with our hobby.

One other thing though. Does anyone know how frequently the Russians used the Grant against the Germans in Barbarossa? I know they used the halftracks and shermans but those are way too "American" looking for me to want to make a conversion for anything. I dunno, I'm weird.

But I like the Grant's appearance and was curious if that was a common sight in the East.

I'm with Mr Football, love the Normandy Panther, the M3 North Africa...and my personal favorite, the Chally II...been waiting for that one, will definitely be top on my list. The 1/72 tanks look absolutely outstanding, and if production pieces look like the ones displayed at the show, they'll blow Dragon out of the water, and for less $! FOV really has knocked it up several notches, the 72nd Aircraft..OH MY! I swear I'll go bankrupt just trying to keep up with FOV..much less Dragon, Bbi, 21st, Corgi, Minichamps,Matchbox and the list goes on and on and on an on...........

WGP Klaus - are there any links to more pics from the show? Also, were they mostly diecast metal (as opposed to the 20% metal Dragon Armor pieces)?

The 1/72 tanks have crew figures - at long last! The 1/32 vehicles, especially the Challenger and Panther, look fantastic. 2005 seems to be shaping up into a great, and expensive year!

The Soviets used Lees ("A Grave for Seven brothers") not Grants, the latter were specifically ordered by the British. After the end of the War in North Africa the Grants were sent to Burma.

The 1/72 stuff looks awesome! All the tanks look great. Tank crewmen, and rollers on the Sherman!

Even the Churchill looks facinating with the amount of weathering on it.
Even though I have Dragon's Abrams, Bradley, and Challenger I may buy FOV's too (I guess that make me an addict...)

I noticed the Stukas don't have swastikas on their tails. Was this because the toy show was in Germany, or will they have them at all?

MTC has preorder prices for the tanks, planes, and troops already. How much do you think these will cost at the retail stores?

Personally looking forward to the M3A1 haltrack and the Grant in 1/32nd, the M4A1 (It's not an A3 unless they change between display toysand production versions!) and US infantry in 1/72nd. A lot of really good stuff. I hope it all comes in.

The models look really great, but...

...why the 1:72 Hurricane on the painting scheme is the early production Mk. I with two-blade propeller (probably right - No. I Squadron, France 1940) and the model on photo is the Mk. IIC with four 20 mm cannons (1941 or later!!!)?

...why the 1:32 Spitfires Mk. IX on the scheme and on the photo have different vertical rudders (I don't know, which is proper to this example)?

...I believe, the British 1:32 Sherman version should be Mk. III (M4A2) - like on the scheme, not M4A3.

And I am still a FoV-fan...
