Corgi Diorama base....

Post by ostketten » Fri Mar 23, 2007 3:17 pm

I recently got this Corgi diorama base on e-bay for very cheap, and it's supposed to be 1/50th scale, but I think it works pretty nicely with 1/72 scale stuff, what do you guys think...?? This is actually part two of a two set series... "D-Day Surrender Set" and I was actually thinking of getting the other half to complete the scene.

It looks like a fairly good combination of scales to me.

Although I wish they made ready-built dioramas in 1:32 scale, at the same time I'm glad I don't because of how much they would cost ;)

Yeah, I think so too. I brought this thing home for about $25 delivered as best that I can remember, and it was minus the 1:50 Corgi tank and soldiers that were part of the set originally, but it did include the original box and styrofoam packing insert, and I really did not want the Corgi tank anyway since I don't have any other items in that scale. I believe this is "set #2" of the series and so far I have been unable to locate the other set for any kind of reasonable price, the cheapest one I've seen is like $60 not including shipping, but I'll keep looking.
