FFG to release World Tank Museum 1:144

Post by Teamski » Sat Mar 17, 2007 10:45 pm

As per Boardgamegeek.com, Fantasy Flight Games is going to release the Japanese series World Tank Museum 1:144 minis here in the US. There is talk of figures and artillery in this scale as well. Great for gaming! It may be a start of big things to come..... I went out and bought a bunch of 21st 1:144 as it is cheaper in preparation.

Very neat. I wonder if the local hobby shops will be selling these? I'd like to see them first hand before I buy.....though at $5 it's hard to go wrong.

The WTM Shermans are very nice. I have 3 of the WTM Shermans and they are now selling for $8.00-$10.00, so the $5.00 Shermans are worthwhile, esp. since, at this time, Dragon doesn't make a Sherman in 1/144. The Shermans that I have are from the WTM 08 series. That series has a winter camo, a green/tan camo, and a green camo Sherman.

Who needs only one, or two

But who needs only one or two... or even only four? Buying in the "platoon" packages saves money by reducing the price to $4 each. Add another $1.20 each though for shipping one platoon, but three platoons would be $7.30 for 46c shipping per tank, not bad at all. I would like to know if the numbers on the tanks in a platoon are all the same or go from xx0 to xx4 (or is it xx1- xx5?).

Agree! Very nice tanks, as are many of the WTM series.
