Looks sweet... "must have, must have" he repeats over and over again with a gleam in his eye... I'll be on the prowl for these in my AO 8) Thanks for the heads up.

That's not exactly a new piece - those have been out in my area for months, at least since the late summer. It came in a case with repaints of the 32x King Tiger and a very nice repaint of the Panzer IV H with sideskirts.

I do agree, however, that it is a nice paintscheme for the Panzer III :D

Then the Panzer III's from those cases must be collecting dust in the back room somewhere at my favorite Wally Tman, because the KT and PZ IV both showed up there months ago, go figure :?: Both the KT's and Panzer IV's have long since disappeared in this AO, but I've yet to see a Pz III, weird :?

Questions

Two quesions on this version. Would brake fluid remove the decals and is the paint color close enough to use it for a dio at Kursk or should it be repainted?

A Panzer III at Kursk would still be painted Panzer Gray, and even if it were Dunkelgreb, it doesn't match the Mustard Yellow used by the DAK..

at kursk it would almost 100% for sure be dark yellow as the order to repaint armour to the new three colour standard came just before Kursk and was pretty strictly followed. But as HW says, completely wrong shade for this Dak Pz III to be a Russian front Pz III. Dark yellow(dunkelgelb) is a medium greenish yellow colour whereas the Dak colour is a light orangey brown.

And the first batch of desert PzIII's had two figures.

I'm disappointed that 21c has been producing vehicles that are less on figures...the first version of this Panzer III had both a commander and a tank rider. We need more figs!
