Do you want new planes or scaled down ones?

Post by nooker21 » Mon Jan 08, 2007 11:10 am

I'm just curious as to what 32x fans want...would you rather 21C give us brand new, never before done planes, or would you rather they finish off a few of the planes they've done in 1/18 but haven't given us in the smaller scale yet? I tend to want new planes, but I'm really jealous of the Avenger right now, and I'm still holding out for a razorback P-47, not to mention a P-38. Are those the only three WWII planes left that need to be scaled down? Am I forgetting anything? Oh! I have to have that Spitfire! I think I've covered them all...

I would like a few of the XD planes scaled down, but I would prefer new planes if possible... Also the P-51/Bf-109E re-tooled to more updated molds..

Due to a space shortage, I don't buy the 1/18 scale planes, so I would dearly love a P-38 scaled down, And an Avenger. And a Spitfire. I would far rather these than retoolings of planes that they have already done in 1/32 such as 109's and P-51's. But that's just me. :-)

Trade you guys... Downscaled aircraft for upscaled armor! That way you have your P-38, Spitfire, and Avenger, and I can finally get my Jagdpanther, King Tiger, Priest, and Stuart (among others...)

I'd like to see some of the existing 1:18 planes scaled down (including the jets and helos) as well as new ones made. Thus far, I think 21c is heading in that direction by giving us some scaled-down favorites: Corsair, Stuka, ME-109G, while throwing in some new planes like the Macchis and Zeros. 32x planes sell quite well in my area and because they are more cost-effective for 21c to make, the company can afford to make more obscure planes 8)

I also agree with the above comment that more of the 32x armor needs to be "up-scaled"

I say both, I lik'em all; 1/18, 1/32, 1/48, 1/144. Not gonna complain about any particular size and just grateful someone is concentrating so hard on making them. Been collecting toy planes for 30+ yrs and since 21st, Bbi, and Admiral came along it's Christmas every month!! :D :D

I could not agree more. I tend to like 1/32 best , but I do pick up selected 1/18 pieces, and would do more but for lack of space for storage. I also like the 1/48. Make 'em all!

Like to see more planes, especially the older jets like the A-4 and A-7, and of course the A-10. The spitfire is a must do for 1:32. This line seems to have nearly endless potential.

Although I favor 1/18, it's nice to see new items in other scales even though I wish it were in 1/18th.

Don't collect 1/18th. Almost anything in thirty-two will do. Spread the joy, we need ALL combatants represented. 21st REALLY should do a Spit. Do a Mk V then do all the veriations, full wing , clip wing, MGs only, MGs + cannons, cannons only, cool! Do some RUssian stuff (we keep asking and nothing comes). Migs and Sabers! Tonys and Franks! Wildcats and Hellcats! Gladiators and Cr-42s  (Sorry, got a little carried away there)

Let me repeat the same thing others have said before because it will make me feel better. I WANT an Avenger in 1:32. PLEASE ! The 1:18 one is great(I have four in the hanger right now) but it is too darn big to enjoy it as anything but eye candy. The P38 and Spitfire are definitly needed.

New stuff could be a Me110, C47, B25, Westland Leylander(is that right? the spy mission plane),Mosquito, A-26, Ju88, PBY, Betty Bomber, Russian Yak(two engine type), Swordfish, Dauntless, Hellcat, Val, B26 or any prewar US Navy biplane fighter. They need not be in the stated order...

Would love to see ANY P-38 in 1/32 and of coarse, no surprise from me, a He-111, Bf-110, Ju-52, C-47, C-46, P-61, and cannot forget a PV-1/PV-2. Man, I forgot to add a Fw-189, too. :D

I still feel that a twin would be more than likely come from the 1/32 pipeline rathan than 1/18. At this point, I will buy either or both, take my pick-provided I had a pick! :!: :!:

For those of you guys that are looking for a Hellcat in 1/32nd scale, Hobby Lobby has a kit that is 30% off right now.

I would love to see an SBD Dauntless in 1/32 scale, and also a Hellcat would be awesome, but other than that, P-38, D3A Val maybe to go with the Kate Torpedo Bomber that Admiral toys might come out with

I would take anything just as long as they STOP doing dumb ass paint schemes!!
I want fresh off the assembly line colors. I am sick of collecting air show war birds! Or some some squadron that is impossible to research.
