At long last, we finally received word that IXO Models is cranking up their war production to turn out 1:72 scale military vehicles. Four vehicles are expected by year's end, among them an Israeli Merkava III, USMC M48A3 Patton, and US M26 Pershing tank, along with a German Jagdpanther tank destroyer. Loads of others will begin to appear at the start of the New Year, including some not seen before in the Altaya range, such as a C1 Ariete tank.

In related news, the next batch of IXO planes are expected to arrive next week. On the downside, the gaggle of warbirds behind them have now been delayed until the beginning of 2007, no doubt because the ground vehicles have been moved up to the front of the line. Rumors continue to circulate that more new aircraft types are being tooled up, including repaints of formerly released fliers. Look for additional information on both the ground and aerial ranges to continue to pour in as we move ever closer to the holiday timeframe....

Cordially,
