Hi All,
Dragon just announced that they will be offering Douglas Kay's 1:72 scale Sherman Firefly, among other things, at the upcoming Euro Expo held in the UK. Since this will be the first exclusive available outside of the North American marketplace, it'll be interesting to see how these items are received and the degree to which they'll appreciate in value since they wont be readily available here in the US and Canada.
Anyway, here's the link to the announcement:

Hi,
We'd love to be able to offer them but I'm not sure how we can. Thus far, the manufacturer only makes the exclusive items available to Expo attendees and we dont have any plans to go. You might want to check with some of the Euro sellers to see what they plan to do or if they're already offering these items on their sites in advance of the Show.
Personally, I think this is one item to watch. The tank looks quite good (as does the new 1:6 scale figure just unveiled) and I can only guess that they're going to be tougher to nab seeing as how they'll only be available across the pond, unless another American-based vendor decides to go. Keep in mind that the cost for an American-based vendor to ship their wares to England and back would be high, even if they could justify all the ancillary costs (airfare, lodging, transportation, food, etc.).
Now, if Dragon makes them available to the American sellers, we'll certainly keep you abreast...

Euro Firefly
Hi,
Just thought I'd pass this along to interested parties. The Dragon Euro Expo 1:72 Kay Firefly wont be available from our US supplier, and will only be made available to dealers attending the Show in England. No doubt, Dragon will eventually come out with a general release Firefly(s), seeing as how the first two Shermans are selling like hotcakes. Still, for anyone looking to nab the entire series, the Kay Firefly may be a tough one to get hold of, unless you have mates in the UK willing to pick up a beastie then ship it to ya (myself included
