my personal website Hobby Master Collector

Post by hawkonevoodoo » Wed Jul 12, 2006 3:36 pm

I've been tinkering around with a website just for Hobby Master. This way I can put all the information I get about present and future models in one place. It makes it easier for me to post this way instead of going to 5 or 6 forums. Most importantly it makes it easier for you to find information with one stop. Please check it out and let me know any suggestions you have that might improve the site and I will consider them. Remember, this is just a personal project, not a retail site and in an effort to keep the size down below the 5Gb that I'm personally paying for monthly, I don't have a lot of extras added. I tried to keep it to essential information and pictures. I won’t be including any retail links on the site, this way I feel I will be able to express my opinions freely and without pressure to promote one retail site over another by placement of their links. The only links I have will be to the Hobby Master home page and 4 die-cast forums. This approach is just my way of looking at things and isn’t meant as criticism of others. hawkonevoodoo@yahoo.ca

Already I have had a few emails questioning my reasoning for not adding links to retailers that sell Hobby Master products. I see their point, not having these reciprocal links limits the ranking of my site and in turn limits the exposure Hobby Master and Hobby Master Collectors will receive.
Looking at things from this perspective I will only accept links from retailers that sell Hobby Master products and will place a reciprocal link on their website leading to http://www.hobbymastercollector.com/. There will not be any financial remuneration considered from any retailer, this will strictly be a mutual exchange of links.
If you are a retailer selling or about to sell Hobby Master models and would like to exchange website links please email me hawkonevoodoo@yahoo.ca Like the Hobby Master company I listen to others and try to accomodate as much as possible. Thanks.

I just updated my website with lots of good information. http://www.hobbymastercollector.com/hob ... rnews.html
In case you miss it on my site, I will be away until Aug. 20 so there won't be any updates until then. I'm quite sure that when I return I will have some more great Hobby Master news. See you on the 20th.
Thanks lightning2000 I think it is fixed now.

Hello Hawk,
Keep up the great work! You may want to check on that link you posted though to your news section. It looks like a broken link...
