quoted from the XD Walmart recon thread:
in 1/32 i saw new stuff never talked about
1st was DOG FIGHT . it had P-47D vs. Fw-190D-9
2nd was IRON HORSE . 1st one had Hellcat vs Tiger 1 usf.e

I trust Kagnew so yes somebody has seen them.
EDIT - see AO recon thread for confirmed sighting.
I love this new approach of two pieces of armor or two opposing planes. How sick would it be if we saw the 1:18 F-86 & MiG 15 in that format. :P

Just odd that the Iron Horse box has two pieces of Axis Armor instead of a "match-up" combo.

Oh, I don't doubt that they're not real.. My only real problem with these are that the original releases were supposed to be "Limited Editions" of 5000 pieces.. So if they put these in a "combo" pack, they can re-release these in another 5000 or more run??? :?

Maybe they are like the armor and will be in NEW paint schemes.. I guess only time and photos will tell..

I do not think that a number change and paint scheme would be too difficult, or simply new numbers to get around the limeted edition?

My question is that these sound great, so why nothing on the Web Site?

21st has to be making a killing. I hit three wallys and find that they sell out every thing fast! 21st has become a Giant in this game. now it needs to learn how to manage the beast they created!

Oh and if you are listening 21st there are a few things I would like to know?
Where are the Ruskies and Nipon marines? They have not hit Wall Marts shelf's? Where are our Wermacht infantry? We saw a set years ago proto types in early war uniforms? The mortor teams? The USMC figures and the British paras on the back of the new inf squad figures?

1:32 Dogfight Planes

Post by memaddog » Tue Jul 25, 2006 4:05 pm

Hi,
I found them here in East Tn. today. I think the FW-190 is awsome, don't care much for the P-47, to bad they didn't put it up against a P-51 Mustang!!!!
Box says one of 5000, There were two of these at my Wally-World! Bought only one, should have bought both, maybe stop in on my way to work in the morning and buy the other one if it's still there, one to open, one to put back for latter on!!!!

Dog Fight Planes

Post by memaddog » Tue Jul 25, 2006 4:26 pm

Hi Again,
The FW-190 is the usual Green- Gray Camo Sceme, (kind've like the Black 1) with a double yellow with a white stripe in between on the the fusealage with the outline of the German Cross and Two Black Marks and a Black Chapperal.
The P-47 is a Green & Gray Camo Sceme. It has a Red Nose Cowling a Guy caring a club as Nose Art, (looks like BAM-BAM grown up from the Flintstones). The tail is Yellow with 226641 in Yellow along the side of it. On the side of the plane it is marked IM-American Star-S. Plane has alot of German kill marks on it.
Oh by the way, it's the Bubble-Top variation, hope this helps everybody!

Darn! Those schemes will look cool on a 32x plane, and it looks like we finally got a 21c P-47 in 56th FG livery. Now to wait 4 months (or never) for these to show up in the west...

i really don't like the dora. I would rather see a 190A8 than another D9 model.

The Dora in the 32x is actually underproduced.. I am waitinf for the next 2 in production and that will be it for me.. I do agree that I would like to see an "A" version also..

Totally agree that the Dora is underproduced  It has recieved a total of 4 paintschemes (in the 32x line) whereas the Macchi, Zero, and P-47 and so on have recieved many more. I'd also like to see a couple more P-40 repaints.

The Bf-109G in 1:32 is a plane that has been kicked around for about a year now.

I can confirm that this airplane has been given a green light and that production on this 109 has already begun. I am in the process of digging up more details and I expect that an official article with photos will soon be posted on AREA-21.

Wait till you guys see the schemes!

Very cool about the 32x 109Gs! Except, pleas no smaller versions "Red Nose" 109 - the 1:18 versions have sat around here in Ca. forever

On another note, I found a couple of the Dogfight sets while out on a very long range recon at a Wal Mart store over 50 mi from my home. Although I really like the paintschemes, I passed them up, trying to save money for the non-existant Avenger.
