Interesting Dragon Armor Auction

Post by lightning2000 » Thu Jun 08, 2006 7:56 am

Hi All,
Maybe we've been hibernating too long but I've never seen this particular item up for sale before, probably because its aimed at the Japanese audience. Here's the Ebay auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... %3AIT&rd=1

Its different cause it has 6 figures rather than five (an award is supposedly being conferred upon Herr Wittmann) and the packaging is obviously different than the one we're all used to seeing for the "Tiger Ace and Glory" set. Be intriguing to see how much this one ends up selling for at auction...

Includes Joachim Peiper as the 6th figure.

JDM market only - includes Joachim Peiper as the 6th figure as he was the individual that was presenting the award to Wittmann and his panzer crew. I have about a few of them at one time and they went for about 160.00 - 170.00 each.

Hi,
It went off for around $117 US. Not bad considering the subject matter and perceived rarity. It probably could've fetched more after the summer season when there's more eyeballs on ebay.

Saw one sell for about the same price last month on Ebay from a guy in Canada.
