DX06 Dragon Armor Special... guess?

Post by gehena » Sun Mar 19, 2006 5:33 pm

On 2004 they released King Tiger 60100, on 2005 Huber's Jagdpanzer.

What do they have prepared for us this year? 1/72? 1/35?

Any guesses?

Last year it was based on one of their VIP veterans that commanded the tank that was done in the Dragon Armor range. So far for 2006 the VIP veterans listed don't have much to do with armor so it's hard to say.

Hi,
I'm not 100% certain they need to have a VIP in attendance to offer a show exclusive. The first vehicle, #60100, did not have a personality in attendance, and last year the Russian figure with the amoeba camo was likewise based upon a mythical warfighter.

If I had to go out on a limb and make a wild guess, I'd go with Michael Wittmann's StuG III used in Russia. A STuG III is definitely in the works, and I can see them customizing it to reflect Wittmann's first mount. A PzKpfw IV might be further out. Dragon also seems to have a love affair with anything having to do with Wittmann, so this isnt a far fetched assumption...

I would love a Wittmann Stug III. I could also see them doing a 1/72 scale version of DAK Tiger #142

Sherman

A sherman would not be bad, but with the Matchbox Shermans and FOV Micro Sherman, I would prefer something completely new. The Stug III would be awsome.
