My 1:30th SCale Japanese Tank Collection
My 1:30th SCale Japanese Tank Collection
Counting ready-made only, it's up to four models so far and has just increased in size by a third with the addition of a very beat up old Figarti rendition of a late mark Japanese Type I ( aka Type 37 ) tank with a 47mm anti-tank gun replacing the original low velocity 57mm main gun. I did a complete code 3 on this model---it needed it---retaining the well used look but adding disruptive colors, markings and stains/chipping etc. for a realistic effect. Here's a picture of the model, as presented by the seller on eBay:![Image](http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75/Epapazian/P1015572_zpsjzvwokzs.jpg)

Re: My 1:30th SCale Japanese Tank Collection
Finally, here's the complete collection. from bottom up, we have a Type 37 with the 57mm cannon by King & Country, two Figarti Tanks--a Type 95 and the new Type I. Above them is an amphibious Japanese tank by Thomas Gunn.![Image](http://i635.photobucket.com/albums/uu75/Epapazian/P1015578_zpsau9u7a4w.jpg)

Banzai!
Nice rescue/restoration...it looks like the original owner left it in the sun and rain with the packing material still on it...
Did you get a decent price on it? In any case, you must be real happy with the new addition, enjoy your growing collection...

Re: Banzai!
Thanks, c44. I paid a premium price for this model ( about $250 plus shipping ) as it is so rare but it was worth it.c44 wrote:Nice rescue/restoration...it looks like the original owner left it in the sun and rain with the packing material still on it...Did you get a decent price on it? Re: My 1:30th SCale Japanese Tank Collection
I have all of the tanks that you have pictured, but in 1/35 kit form.
I'm a 1:32 collector and next to 1:32 they look too damn small.
I'm planning to up-scale all my Japanese armor up to 1:30.
I'd rather have them slightly too big than too small.

Agree with the others, looks real nice. I have one of these as well and I certainly do like your paint scheme better ![Smile :-)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
