Century Wings F-14B, VF-103 Jolly Rogers "Santa Cat"

Post by snake » Wed Nov 26, 2014 2:24 pm

Just arrived from Hong Kong.

Century Wings F-14's are great, but expensive these days.

However, they always sell well, particularly the VF-84, and VF-103 Jolly Rogers.

Think they have done 8 Jolly Rogers so far, and this latest one is something different.

Comes in the special "Santa Cat" scheme, with the skull wearing a Christmas cap, and candy canes in place of the bones. :D Looks pretty sharp, at least to me.

It is also in the launch configuration, which means that the wings are extended, with flaps down. Also the nose wheel is compressed, and looks like it is seconds away from launch.

Pilot comes in a red Santa suit as well, which is a nice touch.

They also did some special packaging graphics on the box, which also adds to the Christmas theme.

Christmas theme on the usually all black box as well.

Looks like this one is selling very well, and like most CW Jolly Rogers, will be hard to get and expensive shortly.

A great addition. 8)

it's real, Christmas 2000:

think i'll be giving this one the ole pass-a-roo though. The only Tomcat i have so far is the Gemini Iranian one, and i don't think i'd be forking over mega bucks for a Santa Cat. Maybe if Easy Model makes one...

Personally, I love this scheme.

A couple of other squadrons did their own "Christmas" tail art, but you have to love the skull and cross bones. 8)

And again, this one looks to be selling very well. Something a little bit different from Century Wings.

Think a VF-31 Tomcatters "Christmas Felix" would be great as well, but know why CW went with the JR.
