1:48th scale Easy Model P-47s and P-51s Arrive
-----in China, which means they'll be here in about four or five weeks. Like the P40Ms, these look like scaled up versions of EM's 1:72nd scale birds, however, they've added stenciling on the props and pitot heads for the P-47Ds. Here are pictures, starting with the P-47Ds:

How easy is it to lift off the canopy so you can put a PILOT in the cockpit?
Re: 1:48th scale Easy Model P-47s and P-51s Arrive
I have one of their 1:48th scale P-40s and the canopy seems firmly placed on----I assume, using glue. Also, there is no gap, as you see on most diecast models, allowing you to slip a blade in and pry open the canopy. I assume that this is also the case for the P-47 and P-51.

Are you saying these are diecast?Epap wrote:as you see on most diecast models
A helicopter does not want to fly, it just vibrates so much that the ground rejects it
Re: 1:48th scale Easy Model P-47s and P-51s Arrive
Nope. I was referring to the small gaps on many diecasts that allow the owner to pry off the canopies. The EM models usually don't have this feature, making an attempt to remove their glued on canopies extremely chancy.The_Helicopter_Pilot wrote:Are you saying these are diecast?Epap wrote:as you see on most diecast models

The P-47's don't look bad, but the P-51D's are AWFUL!!!
