A quick and easy improvement on the 21st Panzer IV`s...

Post by krieglok » Mon Dec 19, 2005 3:30 pm

I was doing some detail painting on one of my 21st PZKW IV H models when it dawned on me to paint the pockets inside the driver and radioman`s hatches. I was going to open the tank up and remove the pockets like I did on some of my 21st Panthers, but painting them with flat black paint added a nice effect of depth with no effort at all. . I did the inside of the transmission pockets too but I seldom leave them open.

Thats a good idea! Many of the 32x German tanks could use a little more depth to the hatches (like the what the 32x US tanks have), but it sounds like your tactic is a good solution. I'll have to give it a try.
