That turkey missed the turkey shoot.

Is that a Minicraft or F-Toys/ Cafereo pre-built?

I've seen modelers make the water effect with dyed resin. Something I've thought about for a floatplane dio.

Thanks for sharing. 8)

Neither... Trumpeter 1:350th scale. ;)

That's one aircraft that's pretty rare in 1/144th scale. Theres of course the Minicraft / Crown kit. But the really good (and expensive example) is the rare Bandai example.

That's tiny

Missed the boat on some of those Bandai models. Got a nice Hobby Master Avenger in 1:72, but looking back I think I would have enjoyed putting together some 1:144's , and bought five or six or more for the price of the one HM.

Looks like you got a nice P-40E there and a Corsair in the works. Never seen a 1941 P-40 available, though F-Toys has some available in other schemes.

That's two of the F-Toys P-40E's that came out fairly recently. The one with 1941 stars on it was originally one of the Aleutian Tiger P-40's. Just repurposed it with different stars, and painted the nose OD.

That's a F-Toys -4 Corsair in the beginning stages of being upgraded to a -5.

Of course. Didn't think of it. Might have to try that, though I like an Aleutian too.

Too bad a P-40B/C is not readily available, could do a Taylor and Welch.

You read my mind Dauntless! Well there is someone from England who sells a very nice set of Taylor and Welch 1/144th scale decals. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1-144-Curtiss ... 0993503913

The only problem is that pesky P-40B/C. When it comes down to it, you have three options:

A. Backdate one of the various E / N versions out there. Not my recommendation.

B. Purchase one of these http://www.hlj.com/product/KADMMFT-043 The Kami de Korokoro P-40B/C is inaccurate to say the least and is resin so it's a challenge.

C. Find one of the rare Bandai P-40B/C. Usually on eBay, these are your best choice. I've acquired two and plan on using them for my "Haleiwa Scramble" diorama but would like to resin cast (or find someone to resin cast them for me). Ultimately having someone 3d scan / design it and put it up on Shapeways would be the best choice.

3D scanning, that's the wave of the future. Right up your alley if you're into graphic arts.

I too took Commercial/ Graphic arts. But only for four tri-mesters. Though this was before desktop publishing / personal computers came into being. I'd go back to school for that if I could just get off the treadmill. :?

Maybe F-Toys will make the P-40B/C sometime down the road. The Bandai is indeed rare (after looking)
I'm finding the different companies come out with the same aircraft later. We can only hope. Who doesn't like the Tomahawk- Warhawk- Kittyhawk?
My favorite underdog fighter of WWII.

Thinking about getting the whole F-Toys set with those E's, the P-39 and the ME-109E's. It's not that expensive.
