F-4 Covers?

Post by The_Helicopter_Pilot » Mon Jan 28, 2013 2:59 pm

Is there anywhere to get this set cheaper then here?

Those covers as well as the other covers you see are actually made by a member here. Many have bought from him and he is a standup guy. In addition to Badcat, he also sells these on Ebay.

Before you ask to get something cheaper, please realize that this is a forum member and he does this on his own time. When I spoke to him about some of his other parts, he mentioned he makes very little on them and does it for enjoyment in the hobby, but must make up his costs to produce them. They are priced as low as they can be so that his costs are covered and he does not lose money in producing them.

And who is this member?
I'd rather buy from a member then from BadCat, with all the bad things I've heared from them, I also ask if I can find them for cheaper because I really don't have the money to buy them, times are hard right now.

A little research and reading on this forum would allow you to easily find this member on our forum. He has made covers for a lot of the planes. However, instead of reading and searching the forum you seem to ask questions about topics covered in detail long ago constantly. Try reading, you might find a lot of your questions have been answered.

Times are hard but they are for everyone else too. Do you think you are the only one who is having a tough time right now? The forum member who makes these wants to stay in business and keep making them, and has to work a regular job in addition to making these. So you are paying for his time, materials and expertise. His business has greatly picked up since he began working with BadCat and I'm sure he is grateful for it. It allows him more of a market to sell his stuff. But yes, times are tough on everyone. A lot of the members here had to give up their collections and move on. One has had such serious health problems he has had to have his son sell his entire collection of airplanes, a collection that numbered in the 1000's I'm sure.

If you want these cheaper perhaps you could try making them yourself if you can't afford them. I am sure it can be done. Or maybe wait until you have the money to spend and buy them. There is nothing that says that you need to buy these this very minute.
