are those JOHNNY LIGHTNING models really 1/144 or just sorta 1/144? Nobody else seems to call them 1/144.

I don't really know, I've never seen them before, I just thought it was a good price for a twin pack, guessing by the maker I'm going to say "kind of" 1/144, but I don't know.

There was an X-1, X-3, X-4, X-15 and I know there was more, I just can't remember right now.
i had these a few years ago they were pretty good

so i finally got one of these motormax B-2's. Overall it's quite nice, better than i expected really. The undercarriage blows, but i have all my planes with u/c retracted so i'll rework it to an in flight position. Otherwise, it's nice. One interesting feature i didn't expect is that one of the bomb bays are molded with open doors. You can see the rotary launcher inside with a bunch of b61 nuclear bombs on it. The bay and bombs need a bit of detailing and some paint work but it's a cool touch.

So overall i'm quite pleased with it...it's not perfect but it's good and the only game in town 1/144 pre-built-wise.

I imagine quite large for 1/144?

Going to have to look for one of these.
Doesn't look too bad in the pic. Better detail than what you'd expect from Motormax.

well, it's just over 14 inches in span, which is large-ish for 1/144 i guess. It's just 5 3/4 inches long. It really only looks a bit bigger than a 1/144 Vulcan bomber.

You can get these on ebay for 24.99, the seller has 7 left. Search for 'motormax stealth' and you'll find it. They're pretty hard to find anywhere else but ebay now.

The finish is a bit shiney, so i'm going to flatten it by spraying with dullcote, detail/paint the bomb bay, make the undercarriage retracted and she's good to go. :)

You know, revell makes a 1/144 B-2, and no paint is required, I had one a few years back, though it has stickers instead of decals, but can still stand it's side up against any other Revell model.
