Corgi 1:50 Tanks History Channel vs. Limited Editions

Post by herman » Wed Nov 02, 2005 5:17 pm

I have recently started collecting Corgi tanks. All the ones in my collection are the more expensive, limited editions that cost up to $40. My question is: how do the History Channel tanks that run about $20 a piece compare to the more expensive versions? I have not seen any History Channel ones in person. If I put them side by side, how do they compare? By looking at photographs, it's obvious that the more expensive tanks have more add ons, i.e. Jerry cans, better weathering, etc. I'm just curious if the actual casting of the tank hull is the same, i.e. History Channel Sherman vs. Limited Edition Sherman tank. Thanks for the help.

I have a few of the history channel tanks and like you said they're not as detailed as the premium line and pretty much a plain jane. The basic hull is the same and some do come with an aerial and MG.
