21st Century Toys Tank help!

Post by p51 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 7:30 pm

First off: OH MY GOSH! P51 is posting in the 1/32 scale forum?!? What has this world come to?

Yes yes, I think this is really my first post in 1/32, at least that I can remember! At any rate, I need a bit of help from you all. Back when I was 'working' for 21st taking photos for their giant archive, they sent me a prototype of a German tank. Forgive my lack of knowledge of tanks, I'm an airplane guy (if you haven't noticed!). I still have that tank, but it's gotten a bit mixed up with other tanks they sent me. I'm trying to scrounge up pictures of all the 1:32 German tanks I have, and I'll post more as I find them here... but for the moment I have these two shots. Were both of these tanks released?

Yes. I have both of them in a storage box.

I am not 100% sure if the tank number on the side is the same. But, I am sure the color and the pattern on both tanks are identical to my tanks.

Britt,

Both of those are production tanks. Here are some ebay auctions showing them:

Both the Panther and Jagdpanther are production tanks from 21c's 32x Cold Steel line. The Panther was released in 2004 and the Jagdpanther in 2005.

That one looks too similar to Panther #101 they did.

I've not seen that one before... Looks a lot like either the Panther 101 [CAT]CplSlade mentioned, but also like another one they included with a playset. Nevertheless, the cammo and numbering are different.

You could have a unique example 8)

I, too, am an airplane guy that crossed over to tanks. It was about 50% inspired by this Site and about 50% from the "Greatest Tank Battles" TV series. I even have your first pictured Panther. All mine were purchased loose from one large lot and I now know I'm missing an antennae mast and machine gun. Probably in the spares bag. Your second Panther is missing its antennae I see. Like the others, I have the similar "101" with the rust. Still an airplane guy. My handle is the name of our Museum's B-25J.
