I've seen the sdkfz at $37 at some online stores. HM's prices are getting kinda crazy for 1/72. I'm sticking with dragon with tanks.

Yes, HM prices are climbing. They used to be pretty affordable, but its increasingly hard to justify $30 for an armored vehicle that doesn't really do anything or come with anything. Same thing with the aircraft, but I can justify a little more on those...

The price of HM 1/72 now is like what HM 1/48 was at the beginning of their armor range,
even Dragon prices has risen substantially, which really hurts the wallet but par for all diecast companies
HM has the more varied subjects but Dragon has the usual suspects but nicer end product, for me I buy a lot more Dragon then HM
