questions on 2 FOV tanks
questions on 2 FOV tanks
TANK EXPERTS:
I've got questions on two FOV 1/32 German tanks:
1. Does anyone know the name of the commander of FOV 1/32 Jagdtiger #323? (Jagdtiger #323, sPzJgAbt 653 was abandoned at Neustadt on March 23, 1945).
2. Is the 1/32 FOV #81206 StuG III--Bastogne below a real StuG or fictional?.....If it's based on a real StuG, does anyone know the unit, commander and other details?

Re: questions on 2 FOV tanks
What a coincidence. I ordered about 2 weeks ago the same FOV ardennes stug from a dealer in China . I am still waiting for the shipment. I am sure that the unit would be printed in the plastic base.

Thanks for the link. That's one of rare German vehicles I've seen from the Ardennes that appears to have whitewash camouflage.

Re: questions on 2 FOV tanks
...and another little link. It seems FoV did some research on this model.

Here is the link to the photos; just look for the StuG IIIs.

It is difficult to determine the camo/whitewash for the photos, but they are interesting nevertheless.

Thank again for the link. I got a Collectors Showcase Panther #215 for my NC collection---it made the deepest penetration by German forces during the Battle of the Bulge and was stopped by an ambush involving the 119th Infantry Regiment (formerly of the NC National Guard) and supporting Shermans near Stoumont. Unfortunately, the model has whitewash, and the real #215 did not have whitewash.
I also have a Collectors Showcase StuG III-Nijmegen for my NC collection---the paint scheme looks toy-like, so I'm glad the FOV StuG-Bastogne I've got coming looks really good in whitewash---and your photo shows some StuGs were whitewashed during the Ardennes.
Thanks again for the help.
