Casualties ?
I realize what a sensative topic this is but their just are'nt enough of them. On both sides. I mean yeah, do you recall the guy on the back of the 1st.issue of G.I.'s 21st.Century put out and one of'em taking a hit ? He's the M.I.A. guy that baffled so many people as to why they never included him in these sets. Yeah, you got 2 brand new sets by 21st.,w/casualties, that's it. I'm not talking I want to see blood and guts here but there are no "Medical Units","meat-wagons" or Ambulance vehicles to use in a diorama besides what you can find from "old playsets" or something. Verlinden offers some casualties, and one set in particular is quite gruesome but I found unique is the skeletal remains of 2 krauts. I say, if you're going to have all this stuff, does'nt this play a part too ?

It all depends on what scale you're talking about. If you look at the 1:72 diecast tanks (FOV, Dragon Armor, Altaya), there are loads of casualty figures you can get in this scale from various manufacturers (1:76, 1:72).
The same goes for anything in the 1:54 or 1:56 scale range, you can find various metal casualty figures from a variety of manufacturers.

It seems like there are some casualties in some of the new FOV 1:32 & 1:72 figure sets, such as guys with bandaged arms or legs. 21c also has what I think is a soldier getting hit (or maybe he's just waving something down) with the new 32x German Series 5 Afrika Korps troop set. Although these aren't really a collector's item, ome of the old Galoob Micromachines troop sets from around 10 years ago had a wounded soldier (on a stretcher) and medics running with first aid equipment.
Wounded figures are cool for diorama purposes, but lack versitility. For example, a soldier in a running or shooting position can be used in a variety of different ways, while a wounded soldier just sits there, wounded. Still, such figures and accessories would be an interesting and realistic addition for a diorama!

OK guys, I'm talk'in 1:32 mainly. William Britains offer some casualties too. 1 set is retired now. It's the 2 wounded Germans helping each other. I have this as well as some of the Verlinden in 1:35th.,as well as old Marx casualties.

casualties...
1) about the best 1/32nd casualties seem to come from Marx. For the GIs they had the fellow being hit (helmet flying off and pistol sliding out of hand), the wounded man crawling to cover, the soldier cattying a wounded buddy, and the stretcher team with patient. The Germans had the dead machingunner. I can't remember if there was a Japanese casualty (only have a couple of those figures).
2) King and Country's figures are larger than 21C, but Andy has several sets of wounded/dead troopers.
3) Conte has casualties in his line. In plastic there's a US paratrooper taking a hit, and a German being hit as well as a dead German rifleman. In the metal figures is a US paratrooper medic tending to a wounded man.
4) casualties aren't hard to convert. I've used Airfix multipose to make a dead GI, and I cut up a couple of the TSSD GIs to make a casualty for their medic.
