Post by Heer » Tue Feb 01, 2011 10:59 pm

I recall hearing an imminent release of a brummbar. Does anyone when it is going to be released??

The funny thing is, the Sturmpanzer was one of their first announced releases after the Tiger back in the day.

60064 Brummbar early production snow camo
60065 Brummbar early production 2-tone camo

Those are listed on 1/72 Dragon Armor. I have never seen one. I would not be surprised if they were never produced.

It has been announced many years ago, possibly in 2005 catalog. After 1/72 kit release in 2010, a Dragon Armor version has been shown on Ihobby Japan Show 2010 with number 60355. Since then, there was no word about it :(

Thanks stormythoughts, I was really looking forward to that brmmbar that you have pictured. I was hoping it was going to be a 2010 release, but I never recieved word from dragon. I guess its cancelled. :(

Well... Never say never!

There is a whole lot of Dragons 1/72 kits that were never done in DA range:

PanzerKampfwagen VI (P)
Bergepanzer Tiger (P)
PzBeobWg V Ausf. G
T-34/76 Mod. 1941 Cast Turret
T-34/85 Mod. 1944 Late Production
T-34/76 Mod.1943
Sd.Kfz.251/2 Ausf.C mit Wurfrahmen 40
Sd.Kfz.251/2 Ausf.D mit 28cm Rocket and Steel Frame Crates
Sd.Kfz.251/22 Ausf.D w/7.5cm Pak 40
Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.C & 3.7cm PaK 35/36 (towed)
Sd.Kfz.251/1 Ausf.D w/7.5cm Pak 40 (towed)

Although I don't miss all of them, some would be nice to see done as pre-mades, like 251/22 we seen photographed on Nuremberg Toy Fair.

Easy Model (MRC) have 1/72 Brummbar.

I do realize Easy Model armors are not as good as Dragon Armors. But, most of Easy Model armors are good enough. If you can buy Brummbars on sale, you should consider them.
