F-15 help

Post by skyraider » Sun Sep 12, 2010 6:44 pm

I am new to 1:72nd scale, but I really would like an F-15 model. What model do you think is the best out now in 1:72nd scale?

Welcome to the 1/72 crowd, skyraider.

As far as know, three companies do the F-15. Dragon, Witty Wings and Gemini Aces have just released their first one.

I have about a half dozen of the Dragon versions. Both F-15C, and F-15E,Strike Eagle.

The Witty ones only come with gear down option, and supposedly have canopy "issues".While the Gemini Aces scheme is a little flashy.

So Dragon is the best option, in my opinion.

However, the Strike Eagle doesn't come with any bombs, or even have hard points to attach them too. A huge oversight.

The best F-15 is probably "Gorilla"s".

And these Dragon models can be had for pretty cheap off Ebay.About $30.

Hope this helps. :D

Thanks for the help snake. I see Witty Wings really has some nice Japanese paint schemes. When you say canopy issues, can you tell me more about that? I really like those Japan air force paint schemes.
