Found FOV 1/72 tanks and planes at Target Greatland yesterday. Picked up the planes and they are very nice for the price. The tanks looked good too. I bought the T-72 just to check out the detail and give something for my Tornados to target.

Found them today in a regular Target in Tucson (after hitting three Tuesday Mornings) where they had Hurricanes and various tanks. I guess the Stukas sell first because I didn't see them. Have the Corsairs hit yet? I picked up the T-72 and was pleased with the paint and detail. I took a look at the Sherman and Churchill and realized that the Matchbox versions are way overscale. Hopefully FOV will continue its 1/72 line.

Saw these today too. Really impressed with the detail despite being quite small.

The Corsairs and the rest of the Hurricanes and Stukas should be arriving around the end of September. The U.S. distributor is expecting three containers between the end of August and the end of September. The one container on the way only has 4 1/32 tanks in it so it will be the one in September with 1/72.
FOV should be releasing their 2006 line in 1/72 and 1/32 around the end of October. They assure me that they have been watching this and other forums and we will be very pleased with their choices. I figure their everything about them will only get better with each new release next year.

But FWIW, I stopped by Dibbles Hobby Shop in Balcones outside of San Antonio today; they had both Dragon 1/72nd Abrams and FOV Abrams (at $13.00!!!! vs. $7.99 at Target) and in doing so I did an in-box comparison:
the FOV Abrams looked a rat-hair larger - and MUCH better built/detailed - than the Dragon Abrams. Of course the Dragon paintjob looked nicer, but the FOV Abrams is - IMHO - the better made of the two diecasts to choose from - and paint is easiliy fixed.
