FOV Russian planes, which do you want made?

Post by hawkonevoodoo » Wed Aug 10, 2005 10:08 am

How about some 1/72 Russian planes that nobody else is making, any suggestions, not large bombers or such? The largest, if it were made would have compare to the Su-27 and F-14.
Only put down planes that you definitely would buy if they were made. How serious are you about buying your choices, rate them 1 - 10, 10 being that you absolutely would buy it. Please do this with each plane you mention. Who knows, FOV is watching and you never know, this might help. Serious replies only please, I don't want to give them false information.

Well..Gaincorp covers these, and they're very nice pieces, but if FOV could cover these airframes with the quality shown on their recently released Stukas and Hurricanes, and at the price point they're selling at, I'd be down for multiples (8+) of each:

In regards to rating the following, they'd all be a 10 in my book, however, the Su-25, Hind and Mig-25 would be an 11 :-)
- Su-34
- Su-33
- Su-27

These aren't currently covered by anyone (to my knowledge):
- Su-25
- Mig-21
- Mig-29
- Mig-25
Rotary Winged A/C
- Mi-24D Hind
- KA-50

If in fact FOV reads this, I can't thank you enough for putting out yet another outstanding product (1/72 aircraft and armor) and an even more outstanding price. I ran my tank dry this past weekend trying to track down multiples of the two Stukas, and being a HUGE Dragon fan, can tell you that your aircraft are incredible, and are spot on in terms of fit and finish..kudos.

Regards,
Todd

Frankly, you can not go wrong with Migs. They were flown by so many countries in so many conflicts, FOV can make plenty of versions to sell. Here is what I would buy:

I-153 (6)
I-16 (6)
Mig-3 (7)
LaGG-3 (7)
La-5 (7)
La-7 (7)
Yak-1 (7)
Yak-3 (7)
Yak-7 (7)
Yak-9(7)
IL-2 Sturmovik (9)
Mig-15 (9) North Korea, China, Russia, Egypt
Mig-17 (10) North Vietnam, Egypt, Syria
Mig-19 (9) North Vietnam, Egypt, Syria, Iraq
Mig-21(10) North Vietnam, Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Russia-Afghanistan
Mig-23 (10) Syria, Iraq, Libya, Russia-Afghanistan
Mig-29 (10) Syria, Iraq, Serbia
Su-7/22 (9) Egypt, Syria, Iraq, Libya
Su-25 Frogfoot (9) Russia-Afghanistan, Iraq

And the one Russian plane I would buy immediately:

Mi-24 Hind (11) Russia-Afghanistan-Chechnya, Syria, Libya, Iraq
