how many moved to another scale?

Post by Bandit » Thu Nov 19, 2009 7:57 pm

Hi all, How many of you moved to another scale besides 1/32 now that 21st century is done? I'm going to try to stay with 1/32 for now but I do have some 1/72 scale packed away. I like the larger scale better.
Would think about 1/35 scale but I'm not a great builter of models and for some reason I love armor and soft skins. Not a plane guy>Bandit

I've been a 1/72 collector for quite a while, long before the demise of 21st. To me it represents a good mix of detail, variety, and economy. For what it's worth, I don't think we should play the funeral march for 1/32 just yet, yes 21st is gone, but I think the scale itself will endure and survive.

I've seen no need to switch or drop the scale. 21c was a major player, but you also have Unimax that is still around and with many vehicles available, most of which are more detailed than the 21c items. Then there are all the other scales and other collecting subjects.

just got the Leningrad front Tiger from the DragonArmour on Ebay for 29.00..2nd Tiger I from the series.

I am hoping that DML does Pz IV G/Fs in 2010 since they started them in 1/72(with 4 now so far done, 3xGs and 1x F1 model) or some Allied/CCCP tanks in 1/35
