New FOV StugIIIb

I noticed the tank has started to show up on ebay, so it shouldn't be long before it is out. I am looking forward to this one; it looks like a good sceme and early war tanks are rare.

Noticed that as well. The new porsche king tiger is also starting to show up. I saw that the motor pool's ebay sector was offering them, so maybe lightning2000 could give us a heads up as to when they're expected (If they're not already in stock that is).

Glad to know these are coming out. I'm a bit divided about whether or not to get it, but we do need more early-war tanks in 1:32 scale.

On that subject, FOV needs to re-release their Matilda in an early-war British scheme, tweak their Panzer IVF to make it a D, make a French Char B, and a few other early Blitzkreig-era tanks...

I'm only throwing out a wish-list, however, this year does mark the 70th anniversary of the German/Soviet invasion of Poland and the start of WWII. Next summer will mark the 70th anniversary of the fall of France and the Battle of Britain. Would be nice to get some armor (apart from the 21c Panzer IIID, Panzer IVD, Panzer 38T, and FOV Matilda) to commemorate that dark hour of the war.

Anniversaries

Post by lightning2000 » Wed Jul 29, 2009 1:13 pm

Hi,
As anniversaries go, does the number 70 really hold any significance? To me, the biggies are 10th, 25th, 50th, 75th, etc. Not sure if the in-between years really mean anything to the average historican/ collector.

We should have the new vehicles by the middle of next week since they're coming from the west coast and we're on the east coast. I expect the new vehicles will look as good as their other recent introductions, albeit a little lighter in weight than those of the past. That's not a bad thing, just an observation on my part, so take it for what its worth.

I cant really discuss future product releases from Unimax or any other company since many companies bounce ideas around to see what might stick. Besides, my days in the gaming business meant I was privvy to lots of inside info that couldnt be shared with the general public. Breach that confidence and you get alot of unhappy people knocking on your door. Suffice it say new stuff is in the works, but never enough to quench my appetite or anyone else's.
