Revell Germany has a new model of the "Bismarck" in 1/350 sale which is both astoundingly good (far better than the old Tamiya version which had set the standard) and reasonably priced. There is a review of it on modelwarships.com. The same sompany also just released a superb 1/144 scale "Fletcher" class destroyer. Both these kits will have photoetch sets available so they can be ridiculously detailed. I may get both.
There is also a platsic 1/350 "Akagi" that has just been released with a "Shokaku/ Zuikaku" in the same scale on the way. There are some wonderful 1/350 Japanese battleships (not the "Yamato/Musashi") to be had too that, from what I've seen, look great simply built out of the box. These models from Japan tend to be much pricier than the "Bismarck", however...

Does anyone make any good 1/350 or 1/700 pre-assembled (non-kit) ship models?.....I'm looking specifically for the battleship USS NORTH CAROLINA and the aircraft carrier USS KITTY HAWK.

Very nice kit
Reasonably priced too.
Can you imagine how long that would take to make
