Diecast F-105D in 1/72
So, finally somebody is giving us the Thud...Hobby Master is going to release a Thunderchief, preview can be seen at BadCat...strange that no one has offered one before, now if we could only see one in 1/32...but right now we'll absolutely take what we can get, won't we...

Pimp my Thud...
Hey dragon53, did you ever have the Thunderchief model that had the spring loaded pilot...you pushed a small button & the pilot ejected...plus the bomb bay slid open & a bomb dropped out...laughable now, but way cool back then (I'm showing my age...I think this was back in the 60's)...

Yes, I had the Monogram F-105 with the ejecting pilot, etc. If I remember correctly, the ejection switch was a rod sticking out of a slot on the right side of the fuselage. I remember I was in the living room and ejected the pilot and never was able to find it. I looked everywhere and it remained lost.
My older brother bought a Monogram pre-painted Vietnam F-105---it was the silver F-105 I had (minus the ejecting pilot/dropping bomb) with the basic green/tan paint factory-applied.
The Revell F-105 was my favorite---more detailed compared to the Monogram F-105.
The Hobby Master F-105 is going to be a fine contribution to nostalgia.

SLUFF:
I'll ask about extra F-105 payload on another message board. From HM's PR photos of their prototype, I've seen bombs, one Sidewinder, one Bullpup, fuel tanks and an ECM pod.
I'm also considering the CW A-7D because the last model I ever bought as a kid was a Revell 1/72 A-7D---but at $70, the CW A-7D is too expensive for me.

Thanks Dragon, I appreciate it, the second pic made up my mind for me, It will be mine
. I agree about the price of the A-7D, I won't preorder it instead I usually wait for someone to have a sale or post a coupon but Badcat is on to me and now excludes CWs from all their coupons

Where is my Skyraider?
