Yes. But having the chin makes it too obvious that it is upside down.

Hi,
It certainly looks like this is the Panther in question, seeing as how the number matches as well as the camo pattern. However, according to the text, it says the camo scheme was green and brown, while the FOV replica is dark yellow and light grey. I'm not disputing the match, its just that several factors need to be taken into consideration, including the tracks and paint scheme. I'm sold its the bill of goods its just that its strange the paint scheme, according to the text, is really way off.

I read that one of the Panther manufacturers - Maschinenfabrik Niedersachsen-Hannover (MNH) - never used the chinned mantlet, even on late-model Ausf Gs. I will have to check this when I receive my Osprey Vanguard Panther book this month, but I have no reason not to believe this new information.

So - we have a late Ausf G built by MNH without the chinned mantlet with no zimmerit and steel-rimmed roadwheels. Probably not what Unimax originally intended to release, but it is what they ended up with nevertheless.

Now we need only to overlook the miniature's manufacturing defects to enjoy adding this to our collections
