What happened to 21C and their hard charging 1/32 development? At the first of the year we were all hunting for Butcher birds, eagerly awaiting the one, no two, wait, three 38T chassis assault guns, limitless Mustang D paint schemes, US artillery crewmen and an upcoming Spitfire. Life in small scale land is was good!
Ten months later nothing new has been announced, we all choked on endless Marders and Hetzers, quality is in the toilet and I am still pining for the ever elusive Target four star releases. The only bright spot in the scale is we finally managed to work through the shipload of ME-109s that were clogging the shelves.
I would sure like to see a return to the frantic output schedule we saw in the recent past. Somehow reading about new 1/72 releases leaves me feeling...empty.
End rant.
Ten months later...ZZzzzz

On a plus side, the Spitfire QC issues have improved, but I wouldn't expect to see anything new from 21st for a very long time. Since Roy and most of the R/D staff at 21st was canned, I certainly would be surprised if any future releases were as good as when they were there.

Yes, all this speak of 1/72 is making me feel empty too. I miss new stuff...
Sometimes... I feel like we, the collectors, have been passed by, kicked to the curb. Us, and the 1:18 guys. It just hurts, to think we had it all coming, growing, the morale was high, we could have it all... I mean, it was basically if you could think of it it was going to come eventually. But now eventually is never, and the water is stagnant.
Maybe these toys aren't so important but to me the sheer thought of bombers, 110s, Ju-88s, B-25s, just shit that'll never get made now...

nice to see the tiny toy people feeling the pain the 1/18 crowd endures all the time. Welcome to our world..
I would imagine anything that was in the pipeline will show up in the next few months. The 88 is supposed to be on the way and the KT after that, so it could be the same with 1/32. After that i wouldn't expect to see anything til 2010, except some repaints maybe.

I am egocentrical enough to think just because I want more releases the entire Asian military toy supply chain will ramp up design, production shipping and stocking of my every desired model.ltcbj wrote:and This is all surprising because??
