U.S. Spit?

Post by tyconut » Thu Jul 31, 2008 12:30 pm

I was at walmart today. I saw a 1/144 Spit with U.S. markings. It was in a pack with a ME262. I don't think I've ever seen Spit with U. S. markings ever made by anyone, in any scale.

Corgi made one in 1/72 scale, and I wouldn't doubt we'll see one in 1/32 eventually.

US Spitfires...

Post by binder001 » Fri Aug 01, 2008 10:14 am

The US received some British Spitfires via reverse Lend-Lease for the campaigns in North Africa and Sicily. I think they had been replaced by P38's and P40s by the Italian campaign.
